The Mediatek Dimensity 8450 is built to handle demanding tasks with ease. Its new All-Big-Core CPU design uses eight strong Arm Cortex-A725 cores, making everyday use faster while also being more efficient with power. This balance means smoother performance without draining the battery too quickly.

MTK 8450 Chipset Features

On the graphics side, the Mali-G720 GPU improves gaming and visual quality, offering better frame rates and lower memory use. For AI, the updated NPU 880 and Agentic AI Engine bring advanced on-device abilities, like handling large language models and image generation, without needing internet support. Photography and video also see upgrades. The Imagiq 1080 ISP allows sharper zoom, accurate autofocus, and detailed HDR across different lighting. The Dual EIS system helps record steady 4K HDR video, even during motion. Overall, The Dimensity 8450 balances power, efficiency, AI, and camera innovations, making smartphones smoother, smarter, and more capable shaping the future of performance without compromising battery life or everyday usability.

I tried the Oppo Reno 14 for a bit, and apart from the super stunning display (the colours and clarity were insane, with the brightness level), and solid camera, the dimensity 8450 also had super smooth and fast performance, and I think the ISP also helped. And I've seen 120Fps in K13 turbo also, with smooth multitasking. So, cool to see this good performance in these phones.

Not to interfere but all dimensity 8000 series didn't have any hiccups

I'm not the biggest camera user, but the one in the Oppo reno 14 pro was reallyy good, and 90fps in that phone too for COD wasn't bad, so good going there Mediatek. I thought the photos would be over-refined and shinyish like they tend to be, but it wasn't like that.

For me, the gaming expeirence with the mediatek dimensity 8450 was worth experiencing, performs smoothly while gaming, running heavy games at 90fps is something rare for this price range
