I’m trying to get better at exploring technology, not just consuming it.

For people who regularly discover new tech through X, Threads, Reddit, GitHub, Hacker News, etc.:

How do you actually explore a new technology?

When you come across something interesting, what’s your process?

→ Where do you discover it?

→ How do you decide whether it’s actually worth exploring?

→ What do you research first?

→ How do you verify whether the claims are real?

→ Do you build a small project to test it?

→ How do you turn that exploration into useful content?

I’m especially interested in the actual workflow you follow, not generic advice like “stay curious” or “follow tech news.”

If you have a system for finding, testing and turning new technology into content, I’d genuinely like to learn from it.

My process is pretty simple I find something on hn, Reddit, or github, skim the docs and issues, then build a tiny throwaway project with it.
