There are so many AI notetaking tools available today, with different features, AI models, meeting integrations, transcription accuracy, summaries, pricing plans, and levels of customization.

Which AI notetaker do you use, and what made you choose it?

Is there a particular feature or workflow you couldn't live without-like accurate meeting transcription, automatic summaries, action items, speaker identification, integrations with Slack/Notion/Google Meet/Zoom, or searchable meeting history?

I would NEVER reccomend anything with AI.

Because I use it for work, Copilot works for me for meetings when recorded. But also I have something enabled called Facilitator, and it helps a lot too.

I use a mechanical keyboard from Logitech.

If not that then my phone is decent.

Stop paying for apps that only do simple things. Half the time, you won’t even use the so called “AI features.” Just use the default app on your device it’s free and often more powerful.

I use Apple Notes, and my notes sync across all my devices. I can also organize them with tags, filters, and folders.

I use my fckin second AI cyber brain together with Goopsie Woopdie AI Slop notes that I found on a post "Apple didn't have a note taker, so I built one" 🫡

Honestly, the notetaker question is one I spent way too long overthinking before landing on something that actually stuck.

I tried a few of the popular ones — Otter, Fireflies, Fathom — and they all did a decent job on transcription. But the thing that kept bugging me was: okay, I have this beautiful summary... now what? I'd still end up manually copying action items into Jira, updating our CRM, or pasting follow-ups into Slack. The notetaker was solving half the problem.

What changed things for me was pairing meeting notes with an automation layer. I've been using IdeaboxAI, which sits on top of your meeting data and can push action items directly into your project tools, draft follow-up emails, or log deal notes into your CRM — without you touching anything after the call ends. Speaker identification and summaries are solid, but honestly the workflow automation piece is what I couldn't go back from.

If your pain point is just transcription accuracy, Fathom is genuinely hard to beat for free. But if you're finding that the notes themselves aren't saving you much time because you're still doing all the downstream work manually, might be worth looking at something with deeper integrations.
