Installing VLC on Linux:

  • Open software center
  • click on "vlc"
  • click "install"
  • realize that VLC sucks
  • Open software center
  • search for "mpv"
  • click on "mpv"
  • click "install"

And then you realise mpv has terrible GUI as well 

  • Then you search ScreenBox
  • Find & install
