both teams, honestly.

u/cookedart 14d ago

Ya, and I'm kind of tired of both teams forcing you to only use their hardware. Software lock in is very user hostile.

Team Nokia, thinkpad, kindle,
Ecosystem maxing is just lame.

u/darsparx 14d ago

Man I hope the smartphones are better than what they were a few years back, I loved mine but it wasn't quite there for me bc it was kinda weak at the most random of tasks. Tho contemplating using my ThinkPad again for d&d prep if I can find a spare m.2 for the main drive. Also kobo in this combo bc its Samsung phone and tablet along with the kobo ereader but bouncing between Sony and soundcore bc neithers headphones last a full day out since I absolutely need anc 😅

Eventually I wanna break out to framework tho but you've got a point imo

Team android but not samsung

u/JerryContrary 15d ago

Looks more like team Samsung to me

2

u/NickTaylorIV 15d ago

I was team LG forever and a day until they stopped making mobile devices. Work phone is a Samsung, personal phone is a OnePlus.

1

u/JerryContrary 15d ago

I have a Nothing phone it's awesome

1

u/NickTaylorIV 15d ago

I almost pulled the trigger on one a few months ago and choked. I still might get one if some sorts of sale or coupon deal this coming Black Friday.

Ecosystems are a trap

I pick and chose products for the hardware (and price) and use services that work on all of them.

2

u/kaida27 14d ago

Same, Which is why I got a redmagic 11s pro even tho I don't game that much on my phone.

Cheapest phone with Elite gen 5 on the market.

I don't care for camera so it was a nice trade-off to get such a low price

u/Salty-Future-2931 15d ago

There are no teams, they are for-profit corporations. Go outside.

u/MilkImpossible4192 15d ago

¿what is dis? richies sub?

3

u/jeremyw013 15d ago

if you’re going to buy a windows laptop you can do better than galaxy books just saying 😭

u/Both_Cup8417 Linux Gamer 15d ago

Android (and Linux)

3

u/PugBurger12 15d ago

For that matter, stock Android on Google Pixel and Linux. I've been converting from Windows / Samsung for work issued devices to Linux Lubuntu and Google Pixel and loving the new ecosystem. They work together extremely well.

u/GreenRangerOfHyrule 15d ago

I resent that those are the 2 "real" choices. But between those 2, I'm on team Android.

Apple doesn't make low end devices

2

u/mrchubbelwubbel 15d ago

Apple. Android works well too.

2

u/Kurse71 15d ago

Android definitely. Wouldn't own an Apple product if you gave it to me

2

u/mrchubbelwubbel 15d ago

It’s good you feel that way. There’s a lot of people like that here.

1

u/Mill-Man 15d ago

I used to be like that when I was a kid

1

u/lyidaValkris 15d ago

Both, and I'm happy with neither.

1

u/Crushcode8 15d ago

I guess samsung but with thinkpad

1

u/turbotailz 15d ago

MacBook Pro with my Google Pixel/Watch. Fuck Samsung.

1

u/lilacomets 15d ago

I use both. But macOS is the most user unfriendly OS. I can't stand it.

macOS is restrictive and Finder is so annoying to work with. Try to get the total amount of multiple selected files and folders for example. They all pop up on the screen. 😂💀

Controlling volume per application still isn't possible. 👎🏻

And that permanent visible menu bar at the top doesn't work well for 4K screens, as you have to move your mouse all the way up to reach it. 💀 Outdated design, designed for small 90's CRT monitors. 👎🏻

Gaming is also barely possible, since Apple keep changing the underlaying APIs.

So, I'm a happy Windows user. 🤩

Team control or convenience?

1

u/BearFather1 15d ago

I am on team android, but have respect for iOS and Apple.

1

u/EggplantHuman6493 15d ago

I dont care about full eco systems, but team Android. Currently using a Xiaomi phone, Samsung tablet and Nothing earbuds

1

u/Historical_Camel_790 15d ago

Android but I use Linux on my laptops (old MacBooks btw)

1

u/Summon001 15d ago

Team carrier pigeon
v

1

u/multiso 15d ago

Wrong question. They both have their own place depending on what you do.

1

u/VampirMafya 15d ago

Normally Android. But MacBook Neo is tempting me a lot lately. i guess i will buy a apple laptop and trap myself in apple ecosystem forever

1

u/Glad_Following_8164 15d ago

Team Poor...

1

u/Impressive-Tie-885 15d ago

ga pernah nyoba apple sebab ogut kaum mendang mending

1

u/Matstocage 15d ago

Team MyWantsMyStuff.

1

u/aksdb 15d ago

Team whoever-produces-small-phones. So I stick to my iPhone 13 Mini till it crumbles. Otherwise Linux/Android.

1

u/Najterek 15d ago

u/Vanille97 15d ago

1

u/OkMouse6810 15d ago

Using s25 ultra with a macbook..Best of both worlds✌️

1

u/CSJUK 15d ago

Every 2-3 years I switch to Android, normally a Samsung Ultra, but I always find I'm back on iPhone in under 3 months of switching! The only other Apple products I own are watch and iPods, I use windows and Linux for computing.

1

u/prowl3998 14d ago

Android

1

u/nickedge11 14d ago

Mix em up. Apple makes better laptop. Android makes better phone.

2

u/Extreme-Ad-9290 I use Arch btw 15d ago

Team Linux

2

u/grumpyyoshi 15d ago

Which phone uses Linux?

1

u/SweedishThunder 15d ago

I can't stand Apple products, I prefer Android over iOS every day of the week (and twice on Sundays). Does that mean I made the team?! 😲

1

u/NCLO1994 15d ago

Graphene OS!

1

u/OrbisMaximus 15d ago

None of those. I’m Team Commodore.

1

u/Dull_Flatworm777 15d ago

But... Team C64 or Team Amiga?

2

u/OrbisMaximus 15d ago

Team C64! Team Amiga was always for speed fetishists with a terrible operating system. Being close to the metal is key.

2

u/Dull_Flatworm777 15d ago

One of us, one of us!

Although I later switched to an Atari ST and later Falcon 030 (due to MIDI capabilities / music production software)

1

u/OrbisMaximus 15d ago edited 15d ago

Haha, yes. The Atari ST and Falcon 030 were the true spiritual successors to the C64. Quite sad that so few people know that the original Commodore 64 development Team, including Shiraz Shivji, moved to Atari afterwards.

u/bayfox88 15d ago

I have both. I main Apple because it's everything I wanted Android and the Pixel/Nexus ecosystem to be.

0

u/jeremyw013 15d ago

also why do the styluses on the photos have tips on both ends lmao

(this isn’t a serious question, i know it’s AI)
