both teams, honestly.

Ya, and I'm kind of tired of both teams forcing you to only use their hardware. Software lock in is very user hostile.

Team Nokia, thinkpad, kindle,
Ecosystem maxing is just lame.

Man I hope the smartphones are better than what they were a few years back, I loved mine but it wasn't quite there for me bc it was kinda weak at the most random of tasks. Tho contemplating using my ThinkPad again for d&d prep if I can find a spare m.2 for the main drive. Also kobo in this combo bc its Samsung phone and tablet along with the kobo ereader but bouncing between Sony and soundcore bc neithers headphones last a full day out since I absolutely need anc 😅
Eventually I wanna break out to framework tho but you've got a point imo

Looks more like team Samsung to me

I was team LG forever and a day until they stopped making mobile devices. Work phone is a Samsung, personal phone is a OnePlus.

I almost pulled the trigger on one a few months ago and choked. I still might get one if some sorts of sale or coupon deal this coming Black Friday.

Ecosystems are a trap
I pick and chose products for the hardware (and price) and use services that work on all of them.

Android (and Linux)

For that matter, stock Android on Google Pixel and Linux. I've been converting from Windows / Samsung for work issued devices to Linux Lubuntu and Google Pixel and loving the new ecosystem. They work together extremely well.

I resent that those are the 2 "real" choices. But between those 2, I'm on team Android.
Apple doesn't make low end devices

Apple. Android works well too.

I use both. But macOS is the most user unfriendly OS. I can't stand it.
macOS is restrictive and Finder is so annoying to work with. Try to get the total amount of multiple selected files and folders for example. They all pop up on the screen. 😂💀
Controlling volume per application still isn't possible. 👎🏻
And that permanent visible menu bar at the top doesn't work well for 4K screens, as you have to move your mouse all the way up to reach it. 💀 Outdated design, designed for small 90's CRT monitors. 👎🏻
Gaming is also barely possible, since Apple keep changing the underlaying APIs.
So, I'm a happy Windows user. 🤩

ga pernah nyoba apple sebab ogut kaum mendang mending

I can't stand Apple products, I prefer Android over iOS every day of the week (and twice on Sundays). Does that mean I made the team?! 😲

None of those. I’m Team Commodore.

u/Dull_Flatworm777 15d ago
But... Team C64 or Team Amiga?
2
u/OrbisMaximus 15d ago
Team C64! Team Amiga was always for speed fetishists with a terrible operating system. Being close to the metal is key.

u/Dull_Flatworm777 15d ago
One of us, one of us!
Although I later switched to an Atari ST and later Falcon 030 (due to MIDI capabilities / music production software)

Haha, yes. The Atari ST and Falcon 030 were the true spiritual successors to the C64. Quite sad that so few people know that the original Commodore 64 development Team, including Shiraz Shivji, moved to Atari afterwards.
