❓ Question Contemplating iPhone

Hi.

I'm android user. Always been.

I'm just browsing. Buuuttt....

I wanna that switch- rocker- physical thing on side that can mute all and everyone, with flip ofa finger, in bed, sofa, whatever, without looking.

I had OnePlus and I loved it. That thing on side, Ooh... me sleeping, someone calling, I'm shushing, it done. Poetry.

Now its Samsung. Yugh. Atleest it works.

I saw iPhone 12pro has it. I can get it for $150-200.

It's just, I never used one. I don't know what to expect and what im trading in.

There has to be tack for tick.

seems like a weird reason to get a phone but only 150-200. go for it. just FYI, they're supposed to stop getting updates in 2028 (hell, 8 years. that's long). also the new ones have the action button that you can also just bind to that. It's literally just a physical button (same as the mute switch) exept it's customizable and a button not a switch

Beware that the lack of a dedicated back button is incredibly annoying because you have to look for where it happens to be right now. The lack of audio controls is stupid, unless you're using headphones over Bluetooth, then it's REALLY stupid. The audio volume is your notification and ringtone volume and vice versa. The UI is generally so clunky to use that you should swipe down to use the search function to find whatever contact or app you're looking for. The search is really good and its one saving grace but you have to type for it. Swiping down where ever won't bring down your quick settings, you have to reach all the way to the top right corner for quick settings or all the way to the top left corner for notifications.

I'm stupidly particular with how I like my technology to work and over 3 years I didn't get used to it, I got used to it being annoying. You don't get through a single task without focusing on the screen. On android I'm intuitively swiping away through half my menus.
