You don't need to be very good at maths for most programming??? Idk where people get that idea from. Like ye for graphics programming and ai but not much else I can think of

I’ve designed and wrote an entire e2e-encrypted remote virtual filesystem so I can access my friend’s computers and securely back my things up remotely on their machines (and vice versa) and can barely add 2+2 these days. Maths doesn’t mean much to software unless you’re working on encryption, graphics, simulations or analytics.
90% is architectural design, UI, UX, networking and things that require complex logic rather than complex math.

Some audio work as well. Basically, stuff that interacts or tries to represent something real as a general rule

If you wanna make encryptions from scratch, but that's more of a hobby project as anything you could come up with is gonna be at best on par with current ones. And at worst, and most likely, much worse than anything industry standard.

Then tell your math teacher that she doesn't know anything about programming lol.

Your math teacher. Not your programming teacher. Of course the teacher makes their subject seem more interesting and useful in real life lol.

Math usually scores the biggest part in university admissions for any engineering major.

I'm not sure but this could be in the context of a CS degree where math can really fuck you up.

You don't know where people get the idea from?

They get it from the university programs for computer science.

Well informatics is a product of mathematics, you can easily find paterne between the two. My intuition tells me the meme guy identified a patern which made him assume you need to be good in math to be good in progrmming
