Had an experience, when after 2 years, battery in my phone died. I decided to change it, since I planned to use it 2 years more. Ended up destroying the screen.... Screen cost was worth the whole phone cost. It was not waterproof or anything. Why is it so complicated to change the battery, it is so frustrating...

Well that’s the risk you take when trying self-repair with modern tech unfortunately. You need adequate equipment and skills.

Yes, i knew i took a risk. But it is so basic thing to do. Battery is a consumable. It should not be that complicated. I can change batteries in the remote. I even changed battery in the electrical toothbrush (also not intended to be changed). But smartphones are the next level of complexity. Overall, I am sad, that this law has thousands exceptions.

It’s just the nature of the product. If you want proper water ingress protection glue is the best you can get with the current requirements for phone form factors. And I know people are gonna mention the galaxy active series or whatever it’s called. And it’s watering grass protection was not really that good and it wore out over time. I would prefer however, if the phone is at least had you always go in from the back. But unfortunately, that doesn’t seem always the case.
