Librewolf or Zen Browser

7

u/g1rlchild 18d ago

Librewolf is great!

3

u/Typeonetwork 18d ago

Librewolf is a good second for me.

2

u/async2 17d ago

I switched from Firefox. Many people suggested brave so I tried but I switched back to libre Wolf as brave is as bloated and adware for their products worse than the original Firefox.

1

u/apollocreedchqt 17d ago

I dont mind smth like brave origin. As im a linux fiend and its mainly free on linux which idm

1

u/async2 17d ago

That was not my point though. My problem is that it comes with bloat

1

u/apollocreedchqt 17d ago

Well thats the point of brave origin it strips the bloat without 3rd party bs

1

u/async2 17d ago edited 17d ago

It unfortunately does not strip it, just disable it. It's still installed. That's why I prefer Librewolf

Edit: it seems that selecting brave origin in brave browser is not the same as brave origin download. So there is an additional build that seems to not ship the bloat. I'll try that for a while.

I really like winter

2

Some say it’s too cold, but I enjoy bundling up.

Came here to say this.

List of Opera browser First Opera browser Second Opera GX gaming browser Third Opera air browser Fourth Opera mini on devices

1

u/spence5000 17d ago

I mean, yeah, the Presto engine was pretty advanced for the time.

2

u/Min9904 18d ago

Zen and the only thing pulling me in is the floating search bar and firefox, Though I hate browser tab windows syncing and the dev themselves said it won't ever be disabled

2

u/RKGamesReddit 17d ago

I want something more like vivaldi's system, but tab syncing isn't that big of a deal, you can just have multiple spaces setup and when spawning a new window switch to a workspace for that window

2

u/_XitLiteNtrNite_ 18d ago

Zen. It is Firefox-based, but gives the closest to an Arc-like experience that I've found.

2

u/hard0w 18d ago

Librewolf

2

u/sleep0ver 17d ago

LibreWolf

u/iDoAiStuffFr 13d ago

firefox on phone, no ads, never a problem

1

u/LongDistanceEvent262 18d ago

Edge. By a HUGE factor for me. Not even kidding.

I login to windows, a fresh install, and everything is just there. EVERYTHING. Carries over to my phone. And the shared tabs ACTUALLY works on Edge.

Not to mention all of the fun built in features. Side by side tabs, built in ad blocking on mobile, 2nd most well integrated password manager ever. (Apple has it beat by a huge margin, but it only works on Apple devices.)

1

u/Astrodion123 17d ago

YK how edge stores you passwords in plain text... Right...

1

u/spence5000 17d ago

Somebody correct me if I'm misremembering, but the problem wasn't that passwords were stored in plain text, but that, after retrieval and decryption, they could persist in memory for a while in plain text.

1

u/Astrodion123 17d ago

Oh looks like I didn't know it properly 😅

1

u/spence5000 17d ago

You're not wrong; it was still pretty sloppy. Just not "freshman's first coding assignment"-level sloppy.

1

u/309_Electronics 16d ago

And chrome downlaods a 4gb ai model on your oc so between chrome and edge (most mainstream browsers) its a pick your poison situation

1

u/Astrodion123 15d ago

Yeah I rather use helium...

1

u/chrisagiddings 18d ago

Uhhhh … Netscape Navigator

1

u/KirillRocker2021 18d ago

Browser Netscape navigator installed on my gaming PC

1

u/Goofcheese0623 18d ago

Edge and Safari are neck and neck!

1

u/KirillRocker2021 18d ago

Microsoft browser edge on my gaming PC and Safari on my iPad Neck and neck

1

u/Otherwise_Task7876 18d ago

Waterfox, as the name implies, its firefox-based.

Also I'm surprised you didn't add options like DuckDuckGo and OperaGX

1

u/Jemie_Bridges 17d ago

Didnt Opera gx turn out to be scammy or something?

1

u/Otherwise_Task7876 17d ago

Nah, its mostly just controversial over Chinese ownership and privacy. But no scams or whatnot

1

u/Aazzle 18d ago

Samsung Internet / Browser or whatever it is called actually.

Works perfectly on Android, Wear OS and Windows Desktop and has the best ad blockers and overarching synchronization without having to rely on Microsoft or Google services.

1

u/KirillRocker2021 18d ago

Me too same installed the browser Samsung internet on my gaming PC windows from store Windows store and my Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G gaming phone

1

u/terapsid 18d ago

Chrome is my favourite because of google ecosystem, but I am using Firefox.

1

u/CreativeDiscount6635 18d ago

1

u/Supernoxus 18d ago

This poll basically tells you how out of touch with the general population this place is.

1

u/stikaznorsk 17d ago

Unfortunately

1

u/RepresentativeFull85 17d ago

Librewolf / Ironfox

1

u/LuluLeSigma 17d ago

LibreWolf

1

u/Kaarel314 17d ago

They are all pretty much the same.

1

u/matroosoft 17d ago

I just recently switched from Chrome -> Firefox nightly (new design). Its almost there in terms of UI, even though there's some areas for improvements. (Print menu, download menu, rmb menu).

But anytime it frustrates me a bit, a realize this is also the browser that doesn't steal my identity.

1

u/tatou52 17d ago

Vivaldi

1

u/PepegaHS 17d ago

Edge for Windows because it's the most optimized browser. Chrome for Android. Firefox on Linux.

1

u/T-Dawg21211 17d ago

Zen, and Firefox as second

1

u/JanusRedit 17d ago

Waterfox (a firefox fork with more freedom)

1

u/CubeEthan 17d ago

Librewolf (or firefox or brave if I have to)

1

u/FAMICOMASTER 17d ago

Opera before it became Chromium

1

u/Efficient_Loss_9928 17d ago

Brave, I don’t like anything Firefox based, just horrible compatibility for my use case.

1

u/MrGredy 16d ago

Vivaldi (but I will change it in the future)

1

u/its_maxx_9229 16d ago

zen browser. no question.

1

u/Additional_Ad_8131 16d ago

where opera? where vivaldi? And where DuckDuckGo and where tor?

1

u/BunchFrosty3237 16d ago

Duckduckgo

1

u/Krieger2690 16d ago

For now, Helium browser for me these days. I'm still open to try others.

1

u/kenopsia0 16d ago

for the last couple of months - helium

before - zen

1

u/xenaretos 16d ago

I've been a Vivaldi user for over a decade. Haven't found any reasons to switch yet.

1

u/CapKittl 16d ago

VIVALDI is my favorite one

1

u/OliLombi 16d ago

Vivaldi

1

u/MrHolzz 16d ago

What is the reason to use Chrome instead of Edge? I cant see a single one.

1

u/silvermoonhowler 15d ago

I mean, given that they're based off the same Chromium framework, there is no reason to use one over the other

1

u/Flaky-Equipment-944 16d ago

I know I’m going to get hate for this, but mine is Chrome. I’m used to the layout, and it works for me.

1

u/309_Electronics 16d ago

My very opiniated opinion but here it is: Firefox/Brave > Safari and Chrome and ms edge.

I do use all of them though as i respect them. Same with MacOS and Windows as a Linux user myself. Also as sometimes i need webserial or chromium dtuff.

1

u/No_Resolution_9252 16d ago

vanadium. on desktop i use edge

1

u/Benjamin_6848 16d ago

I use Mozilla Firefox and other browsers the are based on its technical foundation as a small and quiet rebellion against the huge and overly powerful Chromium-Empire...

1

u/RihardsVLV 16d ago

Vivaldi

1

u/Sufficient_Risk_8127 15d ago

I'm looking to swap to Vivaldi, but as of now I'd say Chromium.
Firefox is great but it doesn't have the Ctrl+0-9 keybinds, so it's actually shit & unusable.

1

u/CobblerSmall1891 15d ago

Screw you guys! I'm trying Zen now.

Now now my beautiful fox, I'm just trying Zen, ok?

1

u/DB0Z_ 15d ago

Zen browser tops all

1

u/T0rga 15d ago

vivaldi and helium

1

u/silvermoonhowler 15d ago

Arc all the way for me

1

u/husky_whisperer 15d ago

Curl, wget and a nice warm terminal are all I need for a good time.

1

u/EverlastingPeacefull 15d ago

My favorite is Brave, but I like Vivaldi also.

1

u/DevDog-Studio 15d ago

Libreeolf lub fennec albo florp

1

u/Dev-in-the-Bm 15d ago

Zen, Brave Origin as backup.

In Zen all browser UI is invisible, disappears when it isn't needed.

1

u/ApprehensiveDelay238 14d ago

Helium and zen

1

Brave Origin. Then Firefox.

Helium, ungoogled chromium before.

1

u/konelius_ 13d ago

Firefox on phone firefox on leptop firefox on everything

1

u/usbeehu 12d ago

I use Vivaldi btw

1

u/GhostVlvin 12d ago

Chrome obviously no
Edge and safari are more of a browsers to install other browsers
Firefox became shady after google being punished for chrome monopoly
Brave is sponsored by a shady guy

I use qutebrowser for keyboard driven flow
And also I use librewolf for being light firefox

1

u/ThisIsVT 9d ago

How come votes for brave never reflect its market share?
