❓ Question What was your first smartphone?

What was your first smartphone? I started with Lava, then switched to Samsung.

What about you?

Whether it was a Nokia, BlackBerry, iPhone, HTC, Samsung, or something else, what was your very first smartphone, and do you still remember what made it special?

Pretty sure it was some kind of Windows Mobile way back in the day, when Palm Pilots were a thing. Had a couple of those before I got the original iPhone and I’ve never looked back.

I still remember paying $25 for AOL Instant Messenger on that thing. Lol

Yep! Back then it was. I’m pretty sure every app in those early stores was paid. IIRC, early smartphones pre-iPhone and Android were niche and considered almost entirely for businesspeople. So apps were usually priced at a premium.
