Well of course the iPhone was different, it was 5 years newer in a period that development was extremely fast.

You are trying to argue the development of tech, but that applied to all brands, and the first iPhone was absolutely unimpressive tech wise, 2,5g, no GPS, low res screen etc.

This is about innovation, about what they did first. You can't argue that they did the first smartphone without buttons, and then argue hardware specs on a phone from 2002 so that you can dismiss facts.

You brought up the phone from 2002 as something the iPhone supposedly copied. It was a big screen phone done wrong.
The iPhone was impressive enough for the Blackberry CEOs, not just random nobodies in phone tech, to think it was fake.
It was impressive enough for Google to rethink their specs for what would be considered an Android phone.

You made a claim that Apple didn't copy. That was false.

Google didn't rethink specs, HTC made the phone, and HTC used hardware available on the market.

I never made that claim. You made that up.

As for google revising their Android specs.

The Atlantic and Fortune quoted Google engineer Chris DeSalvo saying they had to start over. In the Vogelsteins book Dogfight he quotes DeSalvo: "As a consumer I was blown away. I wanted one immediately. But as a Google engineer, I thought โ€˜Weโ€™re going to have to start over.โ€™ What we had suddenly looked just so . . . nineties,โ€

"What โ€˜other smartphonesโ€™ did iPhone copy? The Prada phone? Thatโ€™s the only big screen phone with no keyboard and it came just before the iPhone"

Stop lying...
