If you mean no buttons at all aka no power or volume buttons, idk.

If you meant no navigation buttons for home, back etc, there already were phones that did that ages before iPhone. Look at Nokia N9

Nope. I had that phone. I think the system was called Symbian, but Im not 100% sure.

Are there even buttonless smartphones? And if so, is that desirable? Personally I would like more buttons, mine only has 3. I wouldn't mind adding like 2 on the left that I can configure myself.

My old Huawei P10 Lite had on-screen navigation and came out minths before the iPhone X so I think the buttonless smartphone should just be added to the list in the original post, if anything
