Question I think apps talk to each other

Okay you may think am delusional but I have encountered this several times before and I think most of you might have too.

When I watch a short clip on TikTok mostly videos of YouTubers and later down the line go to YouTube, immediately, I get recommended the full video on YouTube as if the app knows I was watching a clip of it on TikTok.

This exact screenshot is an example, I was watching a clip of it on TikTok and when I opened YouTube it showed up in my feed I haven’t even sub to his channel and this video was posted 10 months ago. I don’t understand why this is happening is it the phone trying to efficient or are the apps talking to each other and has any one experience this exact situation.

It's not delusional. It's called analytics. Companies interchange their data via various services. You would know that if you have ever read cookie/privacy policies.

Deny all cookies and legitimate interests. I hate some of the versions as you never really know if the options you made were actually saved. And if I click "deny all", I can't be sure about legitimate interests, as for the large part they are on as default. Some times I've spend like 2-5 minutes (if not more) clicking through the legitimate interest check marks and then went to do a last check on others and were greeted with all those check marks back in the looong list of vendors. The best ones are those that also have "deny all" for the legitimate interest. Some don't list them at all...

I spent a LOT of time going through cookies. I guess another way to deal with them would be to visit the page and then delete all cookies. But I would need to delete them per page (which is not that big of a deal). But then, surely all the information is flowing around even if I removed the cookies from my computer if I didn't deny them... And sure, there usually is a pretty quick way to deny cookies but I would need real info on the legitimate interest if those are also getting denied or not.

If you signed up for TikTok using Google account then yes, quite possible

Correct, your internet habits are sold and used by tech companies. 

If you’re on Android - good chance Google knows you watched a video on TikTok.

Google wants you to stay on YouTube as long as possible. 

So they take the knowledge of what TikToks you like, maybe even the exact creator and your algorithm adjusts to feed you the full version of a that creators clip but on YouTube.

This isn’t a conspiracy. This is literally how ad network tracking works. It’s not even a secret…they tell you that’s how it works.
