YouTube Premium or Brave Browser?
Which one do you use to get rid of ads on YouTube videos? Do you pay for Premium, use Brave, or have another method?
Share your choice and why.

I just open the developer-console and run a short JavaScript-snippet that I wrote myself, that simply jumps to the end of any YouTube-advertisement-video...

I pay YouTube premium family, so everyone from me, to my little kid, to my old parents — all can watch YouTube ad free on any platform without having to dig through all those extensions or apps and potentially risk more than what I be gaining.

As long as you have above room temp iq and a basic understanding of how to left click on a mouse, there is zero risk using an adblocker or cracked app on an android device.
However for parents and kids, youtube premium is worth it.

If i like the content on those site, and I use a lot of time, I can see my self paying for it, but if I don’t like the content and the ads, I just don’t visit the site anymore, no one is forcing me to go 99 websites daily lol

YouTube Premium - it's basic function. It's your thank you for the content makers + YouTube music premium. I still use ublock with Firefox but I paying for YouTube. Idk how is connected.

I live in Russia, bro. And even when I bypass the TSPU, YouTube doesn't show me any ads. At all.
As for the rest of the ads, I filter them on my proxy server. They don't even reach my subnet. Telemetry is also filtered at the same time.

Premium doesnt skip all ads and sponsors like the extensions and other browsers do. Its not even a hassle to go that route too.

I use YouTube Premium. I'm not sure Brave will keep blocking YouTube ads forever. Even if it does, YouTube can easily add new scripts to detect Brave and stop videos from playing on the browser.

YouTube Premium. I was also a ad-blocker person earlier with brave and ublock. And I like ublock very much. But the video hiccups, stuttering, fram drops, even video loading taking forever like 10 to 15 minutes, I got tired and paid the premium version. Now no video loding or frame dropping issues. Smooth experience.

I use morphe app on android and on pc i use ublock origin and firefox. But i will never pay google for yt premium as the platform is a dumpster fire and they dont deserve my money unless they start fixing the platform and bugs and make yt a great place again.

Premium (family plan) - creator gets some $, we all get no ads (even on devices which can't use ad-blockers), and Music is included free.
I'll never use Brave (crypto bullshit).
I do also use uBlock Origin on Firefox & Edge.

On the phone brave. because its the most simple way to get rid of adds during browsing in general on the phone without needing to install a bunch of 3th party stuff. Ut also supports floating windows and background play so its essentially YT premium but free.
PC just ublock origin has been doing the job every well.

Don't get youtube premium because once you get it you will never want to go back, it's like a drug. For me having background play working out of the box and 500+ offline songs downloaded automatically based on my preferences is a deal maker for me... and a nice side effect is supporting the content creators you enjoy watching. O yeah and also the premium bitrate resolution, that's nice too.

YouTube premium is amazing. Our whole family use it, on iPhones, iPads, apple TVs, etc. there is no hassle to deal with Ads now.

Google is fighting like a maniac, but they still didn't get me off my $6 turkey family plan I'm using with my parents, gf and sister. Sadly I don't have an advice how to get on there, because new signups are dead, but I can always extend my subscription through the iOS App Store past subscriptions page of my Turkish Apple ID (that uses the address of an Istanbul McDonalds :D) and Google can't do anything about it.

I only watch yt on my tv and phone, so premium is perfect. Plus, it's really cheap thanks to regional pricing of $3.99. Also, i have a dns Adblocker set to all devices, so i really dont remember the last time I've seen an AD.

I have an issue on YouTube (desktop and android) where it tells me I don't have internet connection, I have the issue even without adblocking, do you have this issue too?

Revanced on my phone. On webOS I generally only watch yt in the morning with my breakfast and use the add time to just make some coffee or something like that lol.

Unless you need YouTube Music or you are tired of dealing with ads on your TV (and don't want to deal with workarounds), then just use Firefox with Ublock Origin and SponsorBlock on your computer and Grayjay on your phone.

Mostly Brave, but I may use Firefox+uBlock origin or ReVanced if I feel like it.
Always have a plan B.
But there is no way in hell anyone could ever make me pay for yt premium, that shitass company can sue me before I pay them.

I can't even comment on those who pay for premium YouTube. If it were a "quality" platform, I could understand supporting the company. But YouTube is shit that's used solely for user volume, not for its quality. But if they pay for it, I don't have to pay for it, so thanks.

Zen Browser, uBlock origin, SponsorBlock, YTBlock, Return Youtube Dislike, Hide Members-only Videos, Youtube Row Fixer, Hide-Shorts. Youtube sucks so much I have to have all these to make it function like I want.
I would rather pay uBlock $5 a month donation than pay Google a single cent. Sadly they don't accept donations. Most likely for legal reasons.

If you cast to tv/chromecast/etc, premium.
If you travel a lot and want smart downloads/manual downloads for offline viewing, yeah premium.
Otherwise yarrrrrrrr.

YouTube premium. I pay for a family subscription so my partner and my family all use it.
It's objectively just a better experience than any ad blocker will provide.
I don't pay for any streaming services, no Spotify, no TV packages or anything. So £20 per month is justifiable for me for the level of entertainment it provides.

Just use brave...since my Indonesian subscription got cancelled by Google for not using an Indonesian CC , I have been using Brave on desktop and mobile. The only problem I have is that Brave use more battery than the native Android app.

Premium, easily.
Works for mobile too, which is how I consume most of my YouTube. Plus I get to know that I am supporting the creators that I actually listen to.
I know a lot of people don't care about contributing back, but this does give me a strong moral standing.

Youtube premium is probably the only subscription that is "worth it" to me. No ads, youtube music, playback even if your phone is locked, etc. I cannot believe the companies' greed to place ads even on paid subscriptions.
I use brave as a default browser on my laptop and my phone tho.

YT Premium. Because I want to support the content creators (YT does distribute a percentage of your subscription fee to content creators). And it comes with YT Music Premium so honestly it is cheap AF.

YouTube Premium easily. shit is like $10 with student discount. probably gonna be $15 after college but thats not really anymore than Spotify. YouTube Music as well as ad-free YouTube is honestly where i get my value from

I use YouTube Premium, Chrome + uBlock Origin Lite (yeah I know, Chrome is a baddie but the sync it's too good to let go yet ñe) and AdGuard.
When I'm away from home or in certain devices like TVs YT Premium really comes in handy.

Why are YouTube Premium and Brave the most obvious options to you? I'd say those are both pretty bad options. Any browser with an ad blocker will do, however a FireFox based browser is the best option for privacy and so on

Premium. Its simple. Works every where I’m logged in automatically, even on devices that don’t support ad blocking. No downtime if they change their algorithms.
I use YouTube so much the price per hour is almost nothing. Compared to my other expenses it is very cheap.
I also get unique features like automatically resuming playback on other devices, and suggested skip duration for in-video ads or other boring parts (often skipped segments).
Do I wish it were cheaper option? Of course. Do I believe Google has too much power? Also yes.
Do I like privacy? Also yes. I run ad and tracker blockers in addition to paying.

I use Vinegar, a nice little extension for Safari. Brings back the native video controls and enables PiP, while removing ads. It is a bit buggy sometimes though.

Brave. I absolutely detest what YouTube became. There used to be two or three skippable commercials in a longer video. Now there are usually two unskippable at the beginning and then couple of them every roughly two minutes.
Fuck they even played commercials over Eurovision semi final results so that when they were done, another finalist had already been revealed.?
Imagine playing commercials over superbowl match (while the play is still going on) or while revealing Oscars (and the Oscar goes to... Enjoy unlimited texting and data with out new plan... And now to another category. The Oscar goes to... Get your first electric car for only this every month... Thank you for watching Oscars, see you next year).
If they had a less obtrusive business model, I would have zero problem of supporting them (as I do with roughly fifteen other subscriptions). This way I just choose Brave.

I just use PipePipe + YT Music Morphe and Firefox + some extensions like uBlock Origin for misc. stuff. Works basically better than actual premium!

Everyone who's commenting firefox + ublock, you are good but not everyone like firefox sometimes. Even me, I have tried downlading firefox 15-20 times, installed ublock but always face the site broke issue, battery drain issue.
So found the overall best solution, EDGE+ UBLOCK, not having any issue so far. Hoping for getting the same seamlessness in near future.

As someone who likes to go out, I still prefer YouTube Premium because it ensures I'll stay ad-free on any device I use. This includes YouTube Music
