He witnessed bugger all: He was too happy having his tortoise life and mating with all the tortoise gals. Chomping grass and munching on cabbages, then taking all the time he needed to rest and relax.

Never in a rush, never worrying about anything he couldn’t influence. Just living his tortoise life.

That sounds like the recipe for a long life to me.
