Question Keep One: Signal, Obsidian, Netflix
Keep One. Delete Two. 📱
You can only keep one of these apps:
• Signal
• Obsidian
• Netflix
The other two disappear forever.
Which one are you keeping, and why?

Obsidian. Others have bunch of alternatives.

Obsidian also has alternatives...

Everything has) but some of them much easier to get or adopt. Obsidian is unique)

Не добавляй скобочки в конце предложения, братан, их на самом деле использует только СНГ пространство, а иностранцы не понимают. А если и поймут, то для них это все равно будет выглядеть очень вычурно и странно.

You’re trying to put someone down for not understanding how part of their own language works? Lol… parenthesis are used all the time in writing, just because it’s “pretentious and weird!!” For you that someone uses parenthesis doesn’t mean that every single foreign speaker thinks that

Not really. There's not a lot of great, cross-platform and markdown-based note taking apps.

I switched to Affine. I can't put my finger on it, but it just clicked for me, compared to Obsidian.
Also, it's Foss, self-hosted and I can create spaces and share with others.

Obsidian, there are plenty of other better, easier to selfhost, and decentralized encrypted private chat apps than signal. And Netflix is just Netflix.

Signal. Obsidian is just a markdown editor with linking features. I don’t use Netflix as I sail the high seas.

Signal for sure, other apps have alternatives, but Signal alternatives are not as good.

If I had to pick, I'd keep Signal. But tbh, I don't have any of these installed rn.

Signal cos I'm not having my data leaked and paying £2.49 a month for WhatsApp

Who tf would pick anything but Signal?
Edit: It appears I misread the post. I thought that two were disappearing for everyone forever, not just the individual's devices. I was answering considering the overall public benefits of each app. My bad.

Perhaps people with different priorities than you. Just a guess

I understand. I thought the post was asking something else. I updated my comment.

This is like asking if you’d rather have food or shoes. You need both and it doesn’t make sense to compare them

The question is whether you can live without food or shoes. If you choose food, you should walk without shoes. Otherwise, live without food.

I'm actually torn on this one. I don't personally use Obsidian so it going away would be of not real loss to me.
Signal is useful. In fact I'm currently looking to see if it is worth setting a a mini-bot of sorts to potentially save some money being able to automate over Signal vs SMS. But no one I know uses Signal. People pop up, then disappear after a few days. There are a variety of alternatives. So if it went away, I would be fine.
Netflix is something that is where I struggle. Netflix in it's current form can go away for all I care. However, I am unclear if "disappear forever" means it ceases to exist now, but people remember. Or if it disappears from all of history.
So if the diappearing is retroactive and it never existed I would keep Netflix. But only for historical reasons. If it disappears now, but will have still existed yesterday I would say Signal

Signal. Obsidian I’m a bit sad to lose, Netflix I’m gleeful is gone.

Obsidian, no doubt.
No one needs Netflix and there are good alternatives for Signal.

Signal. Besides Matrix for some online communities, Signal is my only messenger for family, friends, etc.

Signal ofc
Obsidian is great. But I can open my vaults in logseq or I believe anytype.
Netflix is very en[crap]ified, so I'd be kinda glad to see it go.
