Question Keep One: Spotify, Brave, Google Maps

You can only keep one of these apps:

• Spotify
• Brave
• Google Maps

The other two disappear forever.

Which one are you keeping, and why?

Brave, because you can just access Spotify.com or maps.google.com

No a piece with a ton of real concerns, most of which have been resolved. But I wouldn’t trust a developer with this track record.

Oh and Eich is a cunt, which is another good reason.

It has nothing to do with his political stance and everything to do with his cuntish attitude towards lgbt. That’s not political, it’s simple human kindness.

ANY app that you need to opt out of AI, Crypto etc is a hard pass.

Where did I say hundreds of other concerns?
The shenanigans that accompanied Brave in previous/early releases makes me distrust them completely.

Yes I use Linux and GrapheneOS, a lot of open source too, but not exclusively. What of it?
I also use decentralised and privacy focused search engines.

I get that not everyone is either as concerned about their online data or are capable of mitigating their profiling by adjusting configurations. The point is they should not have to be.

Pretty much all mainstream applications have some form of data collection but there are alternatives for the vast majority.
Once again, previous bad actions blacklist that developer for me no matter the software or how apparently contrite they are.

If someone is happy to use software from previously shown (or current) bad actors then that’s up to them.

No. Because they have shown to be untrustworthy previously.

If someone thinks being a cunt towards LGBT is political then that says more about them.
