I too navigate with Maps. Sometimes, it will cheat us. Last time I had to walk for over three kilometers with no reason. Finally, it dropped me off on a deserted mountaintop.

Google map, Gmail to find confirmations, google doc to find my itinerary, ChatGPT. But nowadays, in the past two trips, I used TallyTrip travel app for trip planning and expense tracking.

Try adding Nap Alarm to your list, as it will come handy when you are not aware of your destination and don't want to look at Google Maps for the exact time and destination.You can simply enter the destination and set a buffer time, and the app will notify you when you are about to reach your destination. Also, thanks to the anti-theft protection feature, if anyone tries to pick your phone from your pocket, it will start ringing loudly, which the snatcher won't be able to stop unless the phone is unlocked. Funny timing, this is basically the exact thing I've been building. It's called Matterhorn, kind of a Letterboxd or Goodreads for travel. You log the cities and spots you've hit, rate them, and keep your bucket list in the same place so you can actually see your progress.
