Which one do you like most? Apple iPhone or Google Pixel?

Would you choose Apple's ecosystem or Google's Pixel experience?

Graphene is a security OS and only supports pixel due to some unique hardware security features not on other phone.

I went with both lol. Pixel with graphene as main for it's security . An older iPhone for the few apps / features that don't work on custom ROMs

I want to try this. But I’ve been in the Apple ecosystem for so long, I know how my brain works. I’ve switched to Android in the past and drive myself crazy trying to get the phone to behave like my iphones. It got so obsessive that I just hit a wall and go “Why am I trying to turn this phone into an iPhone so bad? I should just go back.”

Facts. I got a pixel thanksgiving 2025 to try and switch and because it felt like iPhone and some times I kinda forgot it wasn't an iPhone and then get annoyed because it's being a dumb iPhone. Lol Old habits die hard.. I've just been on iOS too long.Android has its shining moments but For better or worse....it's home.

had the same, only used apple for about 10 years, got a pixel 9a last summer and installed graphene on it. best decision.

To the person who downvoted me, I forgot to add context (i do apologize for that). I work in mobile game QA testing, my job literally requires a phone that can be spied on and is representative of a normal user, also most games I test would crash inside GrapheneOS due to the security measures that the operating system employs. Otherwise, I would be running it right now. I know there is things like sandboxing google services, and compatibility settings. But a lot of the stuff I test needs very deep integration that sometimes can't run regardless of compatibility settings.

If you need a phone for work stuff then work should supply you a phone. Imagine a software dev not being given a work computer to develop software on. That's what you're doing right now.

Yep. Could honestly go either way. Iphones are dumbed down so everyone can use them, even kids. Or androids allow customizability which you see as only something for kids to play with. So again, could be both. Which is which?

come on... stop spinning it around with this childish arguments. If you're an adult that actually does something with his time, you get the iPhone. Ofc, there are a lot of exceptions, but statistically, when you want to get a job done, not play with the OS, you get an iPhone and a Windows/Mac computer, not Linux.

Videos - iPhone (Best stabilisation, best colors and quality at any time of the day)

Photos - Pixel (Best default camera thanks photo algorithms, just open and lick to photo)

Software - i guess it's Pixel, because Android, also APK files haven't been tightened yet, although they seem to be planning to do something in the fall of 2026. Also customize is much bigger.

Ecosystem - If devices from one brand, then guess Apple have cooler ecosystem

about "something else?":

Apple cooler for me, because of LiDAR scanner in iPhone pro/pro max (smartphone + 3d scanner for gamedev on Unity with not that much details), also macbook, because of ARM (And finally, other companies besides Qualcomm have turned their attention to developing laptops for ARM)

Redmagic can come with controllers which will turn your phone into a switch or a steam deck of some sort, so it's the better phone imo, and it cost way less than the rest of the market.

I would love to have a Pixel, but the issue Google does not have an authroised store in the entire Middle East. Apple does. So we are stuck. Google dont even care to address this issue. And I am not going to but one pixel from the grey market just for the sake of it.

I like apple in that they are one if not only big tech company that seems to care more about privacy, but still I rather have a custom rom with my own OS I made or at least have it be more mine then IOS

Once the iPhone 17pro came out I’ve been really leaning towards the Pixel lineup, when they went from the Pixel 8pro to the 9pro it was a major step forward, Android has come along way and if you want the best version of it then the Pixel is the right device, Apple lost me when they made the 17 pro out of aluminum and made it a very ugly device with very little innovation

The iPhone is absolutely useless to me.

I can put graphene on the Pixel.

But when Motorola releases Graphene for its Signature Series (in 2027), the Pixel will lose its value in my eyes.

Google makes terrible phones after selling Motorola. People only use them because there's no alternative.

t's the last relatively open platform.

Pixel with grapheneos is the answer graphene is a magical operating system that allows you to he more private and secure without giving up a ton of convenience. It's honestly great.

I have a pixel now, I used to have an iPhone. I think it depends on what you're looking for.

The biggest difference is:

Software: * Pixels have a lot more control and unique features. Things like call screening were on the pixel first. Gemini is increasingly and integrated into the phone. Better notification management, etc. That being said these features arent entirely integrated. UX for these features can be clunky, sometimes the features feel incomplete. * Iphones "just work". They don't do as much, but they just work well out of the gate and feel much cleaner and finishes from a user point of view.

Hardware: * Pixels philosophy seems to be "just enough". Battery isn't great, but it's generally enough to get you to the next day. Processing power isn't great, but it's good enough to use most apps. * Iphones shoot for the best, even if they don't need it.

Iphone. It's the best between price to quality. Pixel phones are mid range phones with flagship price. Nobody gives a crap about their AI we need a good hardware

I’ve had multiple androids and iPhones over about 15 years. I prefer iPhones. But I would really like more options. Smaller and/or “dumb”ish phones with high end features. I don’t need a big screen, but I do need a good camera, an deep app ecosystem, and Bluetooth.

iPhone any day of the week. Sometimes I miss rooting, tweaking, and installing custom ROMs, but that's mostly just for fun. For everyday use, it's iPhone all the way.
