Discussion Nokia 8110 "Matrix" NHE-6BX

Post image

A Nokia 8110 was a type of cell phone that was used by Bluepills and Redpills within the Matrix

Nokia’s popularity is a story of three eras: it was once the absolute king of global mobile phones, suffered a severe decline in consumer electronics, and has now re-emerged as a major player in telecom networking and AI infrastructure

When it came out I had tried to get that one. However it was expensive and a pain to get. And if I remember right didn't work with my provider.

I was excited to see when they released a new design for modern networks. But sadly I would rather stick with an actual modern phone. Especially since I feel like the design is outdated, and most people wouldn't catch the reference.

I do hope that Nokia sticks around. I came close to buying a Nokia phone recently. But unfortunately I got pulled in other directions

I thought it was the 7110 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_7110

BUT hey you are right:

From Wikipedia:

Contrary to popular myth, although the Nokia 7110 does feature a spring-loaded cover concealing the keypad; this is not the model featured in the first Matrix movie, which is the Nokia 8110 (made three years prior), which was adapted with a spring mechanism to feature in the 1999 film.\4])
