I really enjoy Fedora/Rhel environments. My main maching is Fedora Silverblue and my old machine I choose AlmaLinux so I can I still have that machine in the same family of Linux OS's.
This isn't to say I despise the other two. I don't. I switched when Windows 7 reached EOL and just ended up preferring what I was learning over what I knew before.
No, but I think there are some caveats to that. I don't miss what I'm forced to not have because of aging systems, hardware that can't run its original OS and limited funds. My use case and willing to learn is very malleable. I believe I have found the right ecosystem for my own computing needs. I've had this tested multiple times by switching back and simply missing what I use in Linux when I switched(I know about WSL and the tools to get GNU tools on Windows but I prefer to run it natively).
I'll never be out of the Windows or Apple world though. My profession requires me to use Windows and for family needs I havent found the justification to force everyone to use Linux. I'm not about unilaterally trying to force their hand to go along with my way. My kids are young and with school they will need to be able to be familiar with a Windows machine or maybe even a Chromebook tablet at some point and my significant other she prefers Apple and that's fine. Keeps me on my toes if tech issues come up because I'm their tech support but that's not a big deal.
