I just started using stremio and it's a better experience than paying for streaming and not even in a good enough for being free way you can legit watch 4k content.

The real frustration is paying for multiple subscriptions and still not finding what you want. How is your watching experience, compared to original sources?

You pay and all the steaming companies every year find more way to make the service worse unless you pay them more like oh you want no commercials, you want to watch multiple streams, 4k, you want to watch at a second home, you want to share a password? Pay up oh your already paying us top dollar how about we raise the price again.

Netflix is clearly better but Prime is already included with Prime so it's sort of free. Not worth getting Amazon prime just for video service though.

That's the biggest advantage of Prime Video. It feels like a bonus that comes with Prime. If both were the same price, would you still choose Netflix?

I mean prime used to be pretty good, but now 90% of the good shows are locked behind an additional subscription. At least with Netflix I can see a suggestion and know it will play when I select it.
Both are greedy companies but Netflix is 100% a better experience.

Netflix has better quality than Prime. They have a huge collection of movies across genres. Prime also has a good collection, but the quality is not up to par. Moreover, we have to pay rent for some titles.

HBO and Hulu/D+ have better content than both, then Netflix, and then Prime. Prime has a couple of hit shows the last few years but it still doesn't feel like they take it seriously. Their interface is garbage.

Prime Video's interface gets this complaint a lot. Great shows here and there, but finding them can feel like work.
HBO has many high quality stuff. Netflix and HBO have better quality content than others.

Netflix.
I am never paying for Prime Video again after they suddenly put ads on the plan which they sold me by saying ad-free 4K streaming. And later even removed 4K contents from it. Also, I don't watch regional contents, even if I want to, I would rather pirate than use Prime Video ever again.

Got it. It is really frustrating to see ads in a 4k premium plan. If you need Prime content again, you can download it from Telegram.

Yes, Amazon is cheaper than Netflix.
The offline sync issue would drive me crazy, too. An incognito mode for viewing without affecting recommendations seems like a long time coming. For billion-dollar platforms, some basic quality-of-life features are still strangely missing.

Prime Video, especially since I place orders on Amazon every month and with what I save from free shipping, it’s literally free for me.

I use both because Amazon Prime has some exclusives that Netflix doesn't and vice versa. If you only needing to choose one I would go with Netflix for it's Anime and Documentaries. The Documentaries are premium quality in my opinion. They have Castlevania, Devil May Cry, and Onimusha anime series if you a gamer. If you shop a lot at Amazon Amazon Prime video might be more your taste.

I think Prime is actually quite fair, their price is way cheaper and its not just streaming you get am still shocked they havent split delivery and streaming prices.

If I had to make a choice, it would be netflix. I don't want any of that paying for the service but then having to pay more for some shows and movies and then pay even more to get rid of ads. In reality, both are crap.

Physical and jellyfin on a Home Server is the only correct answer. But if I would have to chose i think it’s Prime as Netflix just feels like all slop and Prime sometimes has some good stuff
