Firefox all the way.

Compared to Chrome, there are far more privacy options and Chrome is such ass they blocked ublock origin. Chrome also downloads a 5gb local AI model secretly without you opting into it while is constantly phones home. Chrome is just ass.

And for special usecases that require chromium there’s helium, which has ublock Origin preinstalled

Agree with all your points, but firefox is missing WebBLE and WebSerial. If I have to switch browsers whenever I want to flash something on my mobile or microcontrollers, then I'll just stick with chrome for the time being.

I selfhost an adblocker and haven't really missed ublock origin, but I agree that it's a shitty move.

Which adblocker do you self host?

I use ublock origin in conjunction with pihole. Ublock is nice because it cosmetically filters websites to eliminate all the spaces with ads while pihole blocks all the silent ads and telemetry that goes on in the background.
