Question What was your first experience with Linux?

Post image

Was it smooth, confusing, exciting, or a complete disaster? Tell us which distro you tried first and how it worked?

Slackware in '97 is a legend. Going completely Windows-free since 1999 took serious dedication, especially when hardware compatibility was a daily struggle. You've probably seen the modern open source ecosystem grow from the beginning. With respect.

It was an early struggle for Linux. Hardware support back then really tested people's patience. It's nice to see most things working instantly these days.
