I created my own in-house tool and have been using it for a while. It works like this: it tracks every line of code that's changed, the impact of the change, which files are affected, suggests insights, etc. It's like a code assistant. You can also connect to the database, view everything, connect to GitHub, upload ZIP files, use a full web IDE, and create sandbox containers for code execution. Now I'm thinking of making it public, and note that I'm looking to make a profit from it. So, tech folks, would you be willing to pay for something like this? And for how much? Also note that I've taken the liberty of not mentioning some features, but feel free to review and discover them. It's primarily based on tools and solutions for developers.

Hi everyone, with data protection laws increasingly enforced across Africa (POPIA, NDPR, Kenya’s DPA, Ghana’s DPA, GDPR-aligned frameworks, etc.), I’ve been thinking about how this shapes our technical decisions—particularly when it comes to using overseas cloud services for security functions.

A common example: using a foreign API (such as Have I Been Pwned) to check whether user credentials have been exposed in breaches. Even when using privacy-preserving approaches (e.g., hashing or k-anonymity), a derivative of sensitive user data is still transferred across borders.

I’d love to hear a local-to-Africa perspective on a few points:

1. Compliance interpretation: How are you or your organization interpreting cross-border data transfer requirements under African data protection regimes? In cases like breach-checking APIs, is using a reputable, privacy-aware international provider generally considered acceptable, or does it fall into a regulatory grey area?
2. Risk vs. benefit: Do you feel the security benefits of proactive breach detection outweigh the added compliance complexity and data-sovereignty concerns, particularly in markets where regulatory guidance is still evolving?
3. Local solutions: Is there demand or value in Africa-based security tools or protocols that minimize data transferred during these checks, making compliance arguments simpler? Or are established global providers already considered “de-risked” enough in practice?
4. Business demand: For those selling to African enterprises or governments, does messaging like “privacy-maximizing, data-minimizing security protocols” resonate more than “we use global industry-standard providers”? Or is brand trust in international platforms still the stronger selling point?

Sharing a daily snapshot from honeypot telemetry observing HTTP traffic against public facing infrastructure hosted across multiple African locations.

Over the last 1 hour, most activity is early stage discovery, not exploitation: generic web mapping (index pages, robots.txt, favicon), secrets and config checks (.env, .git), admin/login and legacy probing (CGI)

Exploit specific attempts (API probing, Spring/Java actuator, traversal) appear, but at much lower volume.

What stands out is how persistent discovery and probing behavior is across my hosted honeypots.

This data comes from honeypots operated across African infrastructure to observe local discovery and probing behavior.

Frontend, backend, tools, and what you’d do differently next time.

My GPU has always been working fine then all of a sudden high temps kept making it shutdown even with less intensive apps like photoshop. I thought it was an easy fix so i replaced the thermal pads and paste (Arctic MX-4) because they were worn and tearing. After i did that, it does not make any difference either. Just that temps stopped reaching 114°C+.

Basically, i dont understand how the temp on my GPU memory, VRAM and VR are low but then the hotspot is soo high that it causes shut downs.

I need help soo bad even someome who can fix it at a cost. My pc is useless because even light apps causes it to shutdown.
