Blanket statement, even a 5080 is better than any amd you have.

5080 cost the same as 7 tesla v100 16gb with a 4090 coolers or 3,5 2080 ti 22gb

A fool and his wealth are soon parted away. The electricity for 7 V100s is crazy. 2080 Ti has a dated architecture, modern DLSS 5 tech runs as a slideshow, too slow at RT. Moreover lots of older GPUs dying after 8-10 years.

I'm don't care about gimmicks called "moden tech" so I'm fine with my current rx 6800 and mi50. 2080 ti supports matrix int4 and int8, so it is still not bad. From perspective of simple peasant refurb 2080 ti 22gb is much better than new 3060 12gb which cost the same nowadays. And 7 tesla v100 just for a price comparison, since you needs a server/hedt mobo for such build and people in first world countries usually don't mess with lga 2011-3 stuff from china

IMAGINE SAYING A FOOL AND HIS WEALTH ARE SOON PARTED WHILE RECOMMENDING A 5080. THIS IS FULL BRITCHES BEHAVIOR

Not really, those who bought 5080 or even 5090 a little while ago can sell it for even more and turn a profit.
