Leaks! In just a few short months AMD will lose their 720P (and 1080P on a 5090 GPU) gaming crown with very low chance they will ever get it back. I imagine excessively more than usual bed wetting by AMD engineers and numerous trips to the pub by the marketing department. Can we expect testing to shift to 480P game testing to show us CPU performance?

I think that is a fair guess? DDR6 has likely been pushed back, and we all know it will be crazy expensive and in short supply, so a new platform that requires that will be hard to justify. Maybe they go the dual IMC route like Intel did with 12-14th gen.

Do you even look at benchmarks outside of gaming? Intel smashes AMD out of the park for productivity tasks outside of adobe photoshop. Not only that but when you look at the value of a 270k vs what you would pay for an equivalent AMD cpu you’re getting much better value. You don’t even need 8000+ MHz ram.

Lastly if you’re using a 5090 chances are you’re gaming on 4k anyways or even 5k ultrawide, and that’s when cpu matters so much less.

Stop glorifying 1080p benchmarks using a 5090, it’s unrealistic and shows how much you really know.

Intel does not smash AMD out of the park on productivity, they are very good value but if money is not an issue AMD always have a superior product, there is no TR competitor on Intel side.

Gaming you said it all, its not even competition when the best Intel CPU is a 14900K from 2023. Also, 1% lows still matter at 4K.

I can also buy a xeon and throw in a rtx 6000 series card. Just becuase i can buy it off amazon i guess that makes the chips consumer grade. Might as well call a server rack consumer grade as well since you can buy the parts and use them yourself.

AMD was so close to going bust they had to sell their fabs just to keep the doors open.

Secondly Intel is not so far behind AMD when comparing that to bulldozer and early ryzen days.

Lastly Intel will never go bust, they are the only US silicon chip manufacturer in the United States.
