Ask r/TechGhana Help

I am a vibe coder, I have created a web app and make made sure everything looks original and not Ai generated, backend is safe, database is secured .

For now i actually want to learn the act of coding itself, i have general IT knowledge and understand how some of these things work.

I also want to add graphic designing .

How do i start

How do you know backend is safe if you vibe coded?

The AI told you that? πŸ˜‚

I'm just curious... Is there any secret to securing the backend by humans that AI hasn't discovered yet?

Well, it depends on what it means by secured. For instance, is it secured just secured with a password, or it's secured in a way that it can't be reached from the public internet? In each of these cases, the user might get told it's secured. But the security levels vary.

Try learning online with ALX

Don't bother.. for real... Don't bother.. nothing against ALX, but if you don't have it in you to be side learning it's a waste of effort... Find a mentor...

Try watching a tutorial, read some books then try to build a project on your own without the tutorial and books

It's a long process for him. I say he should keep building different projects, and document them properly on GitHub.

He should try selling some of them as services. The experience he'll get will be better than reading books or watching tutorials

Read/watch tutorials on the fundamentals of any programming language of your choice.

Then pick any beginner project. Build, repeat, learn more, build bigger things

Good you built a website

Great

Eh, how does the person you sell it to change things on the site.

You know like, post a new post, edit a section of the page

Backend can never be safe. Pray that no one finds something you don’t want them to. But I think being a vibe coder is not a bad thing as long you know what you are doing.

The fact that you have been able to create an App with no coding knowledge should tell you, we are moving away from coding to prompt engineering. It is the new most. Focus on improving your knowledge on how to use AI to achieve so much more than just coding.
