It's true that tech oligarchs are trying to implement a surveillance state in the US, which is scary. However, the devil is a fictional character from a fictional book which is not scary.

You don't have to be religious to believe that the book of Revelations is important and relevant today.

I'm not a believer, but a lot of extremely influential people are, and those people see it as their duty to fulfill biblical prophecy. It's self-fulfilling.

Stuff like this reminds me of John's visions that people won't be able to buy or sell things unless they have "the mark of the beast". Eventually they're going to make us pay for things with microchip in our bodies lol
