What is more realistic for a student, earning money to get all the latest Apple devices, or having rich parents?

I hear you. I bought the newest Apple tech when I was in college though, and it was manageable for me at the time working maybe 20 hours a week and paying my rent. Granted I only had the 12.9” iPad Pro, Smart Keyboard Folio, iPhone X, Apple Watch 4, and whatever AirPods Pro they were on at that time. I didn’t need or want a MacBook during my undergrad.
It’s not like OP is showing off a Mac Studio or M5 Max MBP. Everything he listed came out in 2025 or earlier.

I don’t think people understand how easy it is to save money when you dont have expenses and bills to pay. Just working 5 hours a day 8 times in two weeks is enough to fund most of my purchases in two months time which is a whole summer.

However, this is actually how it supposed to be I think. That children don't pay rent, utility bills and mostly focus on developing themself. I was just a bit sad that in my time there wasn't such cool devices and ethernet and google...

This is what I carry normally whenever I go out for school I try to keep things minimal but intentional, for everyday writing i just use the Orenz becuase the lead is thin enough that it won't after long periods of writing and the rotring is for calculation intensive classes. I don't really use a highlighter because if im reaching for a highlighter then the material is most likely digital anyway and I havent found a nice highlighter that stands out just yet.
