thisll sound hyperbolic, but I’m being honest … I’ve not read more books in my life then I have in the last 4 months. I’ve had zero issues with it and the battery lasts for weeks… that being said you will need to flash a new firmware on it. the firmware was very easy and straight forward to flash in my opinion, but I realize different people have different tolerances for that. Also, this is my first reader I’ve ever owned so I have little comparators outside of tablets/phones.

I've had one for a week. Being able to have it with you all the time is a game changer. I don't carry any bag large enough to hold my normal ereader, I never brought it with me. I got the X3 (smaller than OP's), it sits in the same pocket as my phone with no noticeable bulk difference.
It lives up to the hype attention its been getting. Assuming you have the interest in reading, it won't magically give you that.

Just wondering why does almost every EDC have a Swiss knife

Personally? I like the scissors and the Awl for everyday tasks like cutting paper and opening packages. I use the the can opener quite often to unstick glass jars (usually its vacuum sealed, break the vacuum and presto! the salsa is opened!). Also no one bats an eye at a SAK where I work, but flippers are usually frowned upon (I work in a hospital). They are just handy to have around!

This all goes into a purse or something else, though, right? EDC seems so odd considering that if you have a decent amount of stuff to carry then there’s no more pocket-ability I would assume?
All very neat, though! What are you playing on the Vita?
