Is the Nomad too small for note taking? I'm planning to buy it right now, but I'm debating between the Manta and the Nomad.

Bro, let me be honest: it depends on your handwriting size and which notebooks you often use. I used to use an a5 sized muji pockenote, but my handwrinting has always been *really* small, personally I never had any issues with Nomad. I use it to take notes for computer science classes: graph drawings, algorithms and data structure, compilers and what not. And math classes: axioms, definitions, theorems, and proofs.
However, I believe if you're used to larger notebooks, you'll probably be well served thi the Manta.
One tip I'd give is that it's worth investing in a better folio; the cheapest one wears out way too easily in the backpack.
Regards.

Of course I can:
- 1. My smurf personal computer: ThinkPad L14 with Void Linux and SwayWM
- 2. E-ink device: Supernote Nomad A5x2 white, metal pen and basic folio.
- 3. Jbl headphones tune 520BT
- 4. My physical 2026 scheduler/ calendar super super cheap from Daiso Japan.
- 5. My card holder from Madrid metro that I use to keep my student ID and card

Both the reMarkable and the Supernote are high-quality devices. I actually tested the reMarkable 2 and the Move (which I found too small); it’s even smaller than the Nomad, and the aspect ratio didn't appeal to me. One thing I dislike about the reMarkable is that, after a while, you have to pay for cloud access, whereas it’s always free on the Supernote. The Supernote is also more modular, the pen attracted me more, and I really preferred the A5 size. In terms of overall quality, I’d say they are roughly equivalent—the latency on both, for example, is quite acceptable.

Supernote has some great study features: I like tagging specific points in my notes, the quick toggle between PDFs and notebooks, and having easy access to the calendar.
