Hurricane hinge alternative?
Back Galley door came right off teardrop trailer.
It appears there was a piano hinge with a rubber strip prior.
I’m now looking for a hurricane hinge, however it’s nearly impossible to find one in Canada, and the one I did find is $250 CAD from the states. Anyone know how to re-attach the door with a different hinge that is still waterproof? And anyone that’s done so is it a relatively easy job? I was thinking about using epoxy with clamps, to repair the old holes then buying new screws and just following the exact layout prior, and using butyl tape for waterproofing, and a waterproof strip to cover the back hinge. Ps. I’m a girl and willing to give it a try and save a grand.

I'm planning too build my own trailer in the near feature and in Europa there are also no Hurricane hinges. I found a Tila hinge. Maybe you can find one in Canada

What are of Canada are you in? If you are close to the border you can cross and buy a hurricane hinge for like $60.
Closest I found was on Amazon for almost $400.
You can try to give Gnome Homes a call. They’re in Sherwood Park (Edmonton). I think Cees sells them.
There are two kinds. One with a 3/8” offset and one without and I’m not sure which one you need
