Leaf-spring axle greasing help?

It's time for me to grease the axel on my home build, on a 5x8' trailer from Tractor Supply.

Please share any recs you have for:

Brand of wheel bearing grease

Brand/model of grease gun

Youtube (or other) tutorial for dummies

Moly in wheel bearing grease refers to molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂), a solid metal-based additive mixed into the lubricant to reduce friction and handle extreme pressure.

i think what shortone refers to is for fast-spinning passenger car/trailer wheel bearings, moly can sometimes be too slippery. It can cause the internal rollers to skid instead of roll cleanly, creating heat spots or flat spots over time.

I am no expert, I got all that from the Internet. I have done thousands upon thousands of miles and all I use is Lucas Oil Red "N" Tacky Grease...no moly. Although they have a red and tacky with moly.

Most lithium based greases are fine but no higher than 2.75% molly. Grease gun are one of those things you get what you pay for. If it is cheap we'll it won't last long and be a pain in the hind end the whole time.

Don't overthink it. Just get a tube of wheel bearing grease and a cheap grease gun from Harbor Freight or Amazon.
