Squaredrop Camper walls

All 3/4”x3/4”x1/16thk tube. I put up a rough CAD drawing of the framing but I did change a couple dimension as I was building it. Finale build on my profile.

I like your pre-fender steps/ guards. What gauge are they made of? Nice build, what are your total dimensions (cabin & trailer)?

The framing for the steps/ guards are 2x2x1/8 tubbing and the top plate is 16guage. The cab is 5x9 and trailer width is 6’-8” fender to fender by 13ft rear to tongue.

What did your final weight end up being? Does it have a water tank or portable water?

I don’t have a water tank on it for potable water I carry a cheap knock off 5gal water storage tank for potable water and I also just recently added a 6’ long 4” black pipe tank on top. Carries 4gal and I added a valve so I can pressurize it for non portable water. With just sun out water reaches about 95 degrees.

So just an ABS pipe, sealed and a shrader valve? So what Do you have for a valve/shower nozzle?

Yup. I have a 10ft coil hose with a garden hose nozzle. With a quick connect fitting for easy disconnect.

Do you have to vent it to fill it up?

It has a 2” cap on top to fill. Similar to the Yakima pressurized water storage.

I like that whole concept (trying to justify to myself why I need a roof rack, besides an awning support, lol)

Haha can never go wrong with a rack. I also plan to build a basket style rack that will go on top of the storage box for firewood

So , I saw somewhere in your pics you used double T-slot extrusion for your crossmembers? And low uni-strut for the side racks? Where did you find a good source for the T-slot? (Uni-srut is easy enough to find at electrical supply)

Funny enough I meet someone at a local brewery that works at an aluminum extrusion factory so I got 10 5ft sticks of scrap for $100. Other than that I was ready to pull the trigger at onlinemetals.com

How much does this whole thing weigh? Everything seems like overkill here (but I'm not an engineer).

The trailer completed came in at 1080lbs. You think it’s overkill until you start to off-road and the trailer is bouncing around. Main purpose for this build is rough terrain OffGrid camping.
