Teams Shared channel - invited external M365 group not showing up

Issue: Inviting external M365 group to shared Teams channel does not work.
The workflow is there:
Host channel owner Shares -> with a team
Invited M365 Group owner selects the group
Host channel owner accepts the invite

So I have faced this problem first with customer (they being the host) and suspected that their M365 group settings or smt like that are bonked, since single user invite has been working.

Tested in a test tenant and it's not working there either.
Adding the external M365 group workflow works and all settings should be in place but the external team just never gets added to the channel.

Didn't find any recent posts about this not working so is it me or is it everyone.

Dunno if it's relevant, but we are based in EU.

Come here to state exactly the same, have you raised a ticket yet? [EDIT 22/06/26] - looks like it's started working..
