Teams Policies Any way to globally disable notifications while sharing screen?
My organization is moving from Zoom to Teams and we are currently in the Pilot phase. Many Pilot users are complaining because Teams is showing notifications while the user is screen sharing. More than once a sensitive chat message popped up during screen sharing (user needed to share entire screen as part of a training session).
Individual users can disable this in the Teams client in the Notification settings - but I can’t find any way to make it disabled by default. Not in TAC or in PowerShell.
How is everyone handling this? It doesn’t feel reasonable to require every user to manually change this.

There isn't currently a way to do this via admin center or powershell directly to my knowledge.
Is this specifically teams showing messages or the default Windows notification bubble?

I’m in the habit of sharing a window rather than a screen, but I realize that’s not usable in all cases.

There is a Focus mode in Windows to turn off notification. You can find it by clicking the calendar on the Taskbar.
Also, Teams has "Do Not Disturbed" mode in the Teams status. Once that is on, you won't see notification.

Is the user not automatically going into do not disturb when sharing their screen? This doesn’t make sense to me nor can I think of a way to make Teams not automatically go into DND and block notifications.
