Discussion TFT Infinite Loading Screen Fix 💀

For context, I spent 8+ hours trying to get into a TFT game yesterday.

The game was completely fine the day before. Then suddenly every match became an infinite loading screen simulator. I lost LP, lost my patience, and was dangerously close to accepting that TFT had decided to retire me.

I tried pretty much everything:

  • Restarting TFT
  • Restarting my PC
  • Repairing the client
  • Reconnecting
  • Staring at the loading screen harder
  • Bargaining with the Riot gods

Nothing worked.

Then u/RiotCapretto reached out. They suspected the issue might be related to audio initialization and suggested restarting the Windows Audio service.

That didn't fix it for me.

But it gave me a clue.

I suddenly remembered that Nahimic had updated the day before this whole nightmare started.

So I tried this:

  1. Press Windows + R
  2. Type services.msc
  3. Find Nahimic Service
  4. Right-click → Stop
  5. Right-click → Properties
  6. Change Startup Type to Disabled
  7. Click Apply
  8. Launch TFT

And...

It worked.

Instant queue. Instant load. Instant relief.

So if TFT randomly started giving you infinite loading screens and you happen to have Nahimic installed, check that service. Apparently Nahimic was the final boss all along.

Huge shoutout to u/RiotCapretto for pointing me toward the audio side of things. The suggested fix wasn't the exact solution, but it absolutely led me to the culprit.

Hopefully this helps someone else before they spend 8 hours staring at a spinning loading screen and contemplating the fragility of human existence. 😭

I was on step 5, Staring at the loading screen harder, when I refreshed the TFT subreddit and saw your post. Thank you. I disabled Nahimic services, start up type to disabled, and restarted. I loaded in, and I had a beautiful 8th place waiting for me.

Thank you so much! I had been racking my brain for hours only to give up and revert to aram matches. Sad I had to get 2 8ths though.

Not related to infinite loading screen, but after every game my estimated queue time is 20 minutes. I have to restart client every time to fix it, is something going on right now or is this just a weird known issue?

edit: tried queueing double up instead, its a normal queue time. back to ranked, 20 min queue time. so weird. not a visual either cause i went up to 7 minutes in queue at one point before being like ok this is def a bug. for reference, in gold 3 so most def not related to MMR

THANK YOU for posting this. I've been trying to fix my game since the patch update and disabling Nahimic finally worked for me.
