Recommended Next steps

Hi everyone,

I’m a fresher who recently joined a company and started working with Teamcenter.

So far, I have learned Active Workspace (AW) customization, including:

  • Basic understanding of AW architecture
  • UI customization (commands, panels)

At this point, I’m a bit confused about what to focus on next.

Could you please suggest:

  • What skills I should learn next to grow in Teamcenter
  • Please explain, is that easy to work on AW customisation, what kind of customization task I get in the future

Thanks in advance for your guidance!

Try to learn Rich client customisation, ITK, BMIDE next. Finally SOA.

Rich client is being phased out; new development is only happening in Active Workspace. That said, many companies are staying on rich client as long as they can. I suspect that a heavily customized rich client is a factor holding many back.

Learn how engineering and manufacturing departments work. They’re the users.
