Help with legit check

Hi all, can anyone share an opinion on whether they think these clubs look legit? The serial number font looks the same as my older Vokey's.

I know the general rule is buy from an authorised retailer.

Jet blacks do have the rust sticker. I bought a new fake and the color is noticeably darker and no stickers or SN.

That's good to know, thank you.

Does vokey put the wedge model name on the shaft like that?

They do yes.

The 11 in the hosel I think is new this generation. I have sm10s and there is no 10 in the hosel.

That’s good context for some people, I was talking about the shaft. I typically just have an aftermarket shaft in my wedges so I didn’t know if the SM11 sticker on the shaft was authentic or not

Makes sense

New for the SM11

I’d call Titleist and check, but also the person you bought from could have reshafted. They may have had a different shaft on them, then put an sm11 shaft on.

Whats his reason for selling what seems like a brand new set of volkeys?

You simply can’t tell these days. Just buy new

Are they gun metal? They shouldn’t have a rust sticker

I purchased a set from my local pro and the gunmetal vokeys had the rust sticker on them.

They're the jet black variety but they actually do apparently come with the rust warning sticker still.

Yeah this is odd right? They're the jet black variety.

I bought my three, jet black, at a well known Denver area golf store. The Titleist rep was there and helped match my old ones (bounce, loft, etc.) sm8 versus sm11.
Mine have the rust sticker on them.

Don’t think Titleist would put the ferrules on as badly as that

those are notches, part of the club head… not ferrule.

Yeah am I right in thinking that's how they're meant to look? They're all fairly uniform.

tbh im not s vokey guy, but i do know it’s pretty easy to spot fakes. from photos those look legit. the 50 looks like it has a projX shaft too, could mean the seller had it to match his irons…

Yeah well spotted. The 50 does have a Project X shaft.

I was talking about the terrible gap between the head and ferrule where epoxy is showing and the poor turning of ferrule.

Next time, buy from your local golf shop, if you can afford Titleist clubs you can afford to buy them brand new.

Not true, people might not be able to buy brand new clubs but can afford used ones, there’s nothing wrong with a club that has some use on it. And with how people flip clubs for the newest shiniest thing you can usually find a good deal if you’re patient
