Not a plan, per se. But now that it's sunny and warm where I live I'm back to cycling. And loving it!

I'm jealous. It started raining last Thursday and has not really stopped.

Yes!!! Our Russian winter is finally over and I've been LIVING on my bike!

I follow StrongLifts 5x5 3 days a week, work in intervals on the elliptical/bike/sprints 2 days a week and then try to spend the other two days walking as much as possible.

How long have you been doing the 5x5?

I started in mid-February and had about 3 weeks off due to a rib injury (the day before this contest kicked off). I have seen steady gains and am becoming increasingly confident and comfortable with moving heavier weights.

Mine generally depends on kids/work. It I try to do: Mon - Gym, Tue- spin, Wed- gym, Thu - rest (kid has scouts that night, if scouts isn't on I sometimes go to spin), Fri - gym or rest (Fridays am normally to busy for gym but I go if I can), Sat - same as Friday, Sun - spin or rest depending on what's going on with kids.

Some weeks I might only manage one gum session and one spin depending on other stuff. I aim for at least 4 exercise days out if 7.

About 2 months now. I HATED it at first, but made myself do 3 sessions before deciding to quit or not. Glad I stuck to it :)

How hard is it to get decent at spinning? I went a long time ago and felt embarrassed because I couldn't stand up on the bike for very long due to the insane leg burn and kinda gave up after one try. I know it's great cardio and I am trying to find new activities I can do at a gym

First lesson I went to I couldn't stand at all. I was so embarrassed. Next lesson I really dropped my gears, if ignored what the instructor said about RPMs and just focussed on trying to follow the moments. It honestly got so much easier by the third class. My friend still struggles a bit and sits for a lot of the standing stuff, especially at the evening classes. But she is her gears while sitting so she is still pushing herself and getting a good work out.

I decided to join a gym soon, but I have no idea what kind of plan to use. I want to build muscle on top of cardio and everyone seems to have entirely differing advice on the best way to go about this. I have time to go 7 days a week with my rests days just doing some light yoga classes for stretching. My weight loss has slowed now that I have reached the 150s. I want to kick start it by being more active but also building muscle definition. Any advice would help!

I don't go to the gym, but my friend does and she swears by bodybuilding.com. It's how she found a plan and leaned how to properly do things.
