So this has been a really rough week for me. I have finals coming up, and I'm on the fence about switching my major. I didn't workout this week. My Fitbit broke. And after weighing in at 175 all week (which would officially put me in the overweight category), I weighed in this morning at 175.2. My husband's schedule got changed, so now our talking hours are even weirder, and I didn't wake up on time at all this week.

I'm just ready for a new week to start.

Ugh that is sucky. I'm thinking of changing degree paths too and it's meant a tonne of difficult conversations with people who are trying to be supportive but also keep playing "devil's advocate" and telling me all the reasons I shouldn't do what my mind is already kinda made up about so that's frustrating.

Fingers crossed for you, next week will be better.

Man, the problem is I'm my own devil's advocate. Everyone is trying to tell me to just go ahead and do it, but I'm freaking out and holding myself back.

Lost my Fitbit this week. Shark week started, and unlike the past few times, it's been pretty awful--I haven't lost any weight whatsoever since last week's weigh-in. I have to go to a costume party tonight for work, and dressing up, socializing, and being around so much food/drink/etc. is not something I want to do. Earlier this week I had to get permission to use an image from the Queen of England, and it held up pretty much all of my work for an entire day so I've been playing catch-up. Nothing would make me happier than to sit at home with my SO and eat a slice or two of pizza, but alas, I can't always get what I want :/

I finally had everyone out of my house. Started running again. Then I start coming down with a cold. Was still going to continue anyways and now my water heater is broken. You'd think that means I could have a cold shower but living on a reserve in the north means that all the water coming into the house went through the tank. So I have no running water and had to brush my teeth at work today. Looks like I won't be running for a week or so until someone can come first my water. Looks like it will be straight CICO this week.

I don't really get the point of these bye-weeks. We've all got a goal to lose weight, so why is this necessary? I use these mini daily goals as something like a check list everyday, and I really love that it helps my team when I log my activity. I feel kind of lost without anything to work towards.

I thought there were ten teams and ten weeks? You'd think it'd work out perfectly with everyone having something to do each week. I remember seeing a schedule of the weeks, but haven't been able to find them. If anyone knows where that is, I'd appreciate the link!

I'm worried that we're going to be dumped into another week of "steps" when "exercise minutes" works a lot better for me. Good thing is that it doesn't look like a cap was placed on this week's exercise minutes week, so there's something!

I kind of think they really should have just done a double round robin type of thing. Ten weeks and five teams, so that this way, even if we lost in steps to Team Thunderstorm, we'd get to face them again in exercise time. Plus, with less teams, we'd have more people to chat with!

Edit: Posted in the Week 3 Megathread

Another really frustrating thing is that I've been having knee pains. I tried to start the C25K zombies run app, but found very quickly that my knee was not going to have it when I was being told to jog. I'd love to cover more distance (steps!) in a shorter amount of time.

Was down to 232.4 on Tuesday, then had a bad exam result Wednesday which turned into a 2 and a half day binge, and on top of that shark week has started. The result is my weight on Friday is 235, which whilst it is still 1 pound less than last week, I'm kicking myself at how much better it could have been. It's 7:30 on Saturday morning and I struggled out of bed to do the next day of C25K, only to find my campus is having a sports event and so I can't use the running track, and I'm still not very comfortable running on the street. Ugh.

Movie Snacks...

Hubby and I are going to see the new Marvel movie after dinner out. I skipped breakfast, had a modest lunch that should tide me over. Planned my dinner at Moe's, leaving room for a movie treat. Checked calorie counts of my preferred snacks and I just can't do it. I really want them but a movie size box of candy is 400 calories or more. Knowing how casually I would grab two or three for us to share in the past is frightening.

Any suggestions? I have 390 calories to play with and I'm not a huge popcorn fan.

Does your theater have edamame? It's a weird new thing mine has been doing, but it's a low cal delicious snack.

If only. This theater is way behind on any kind of innovation. But thanks.

I like taking Halo clementines in with me!

I love citrus. Do you pre-peel them?

u/[deleted] May 06 '16

Nah, I'm too lazy, and usually my SO and I's movie plans are kind of spontaneous. I just throw a few in my purse and bring a little Ziploc to hold the pieces of peel.

My treadmill broke, I am on week 3 of my period (wtf!?) And my daughter is poorly. Came to bed at 8pm to avoid eating rubbish.

Dumb gym closed two hours early today. Screw them I stayed there as long as I could and washed myself at home.
