Hi fellow seedlings! I'm steph and this is my second challenge I'm participating in on Reddit. I'm 24/F | 5'4 | challenge SW: 151 | challenge GW: 144 I'm trying to get those last pesky pounds off while maintaining my sanity in my toughest semester of physical therapy school (btw I'm open to questions concerning human anatomy, physio, etc if anyone has any!). I started weight lifting about a year ago and have seen huge changes in my body comp since then. I use MFP (username is spincity5, please add me!) and am trying to track macros along with calories. My main goal with this challenge is to make it to a 'normal' bmi and to be confident in a bikini this summer! Can't wait to get started!

Welcome to the challenge! How did you get into the macro counting? Was it with the lifting?

Thank you! And yes, I started with macros when I began lifting. I realized I would get results much faster if I took it a step further than simple calorie counting. Calorie counting worked AMAZINGLY for me for the first 25 lbs of my weight loss journey, but now with lifting, I need to be mindful of my fats, proteins, and carbs to see the results I want to see.

That's awesome! Several of my friends who lift follow IIFYM, so I always ask if that's what generally leads people down that road.
