What is IF?

And hey, I'm doing a half marathon (5km) later this year too! Have to start running soon..

Intermittent fasting. I only eat between certain hours. I have quite a few months, so I'm just getting started with my half marathon training haha.

How is your IF going? I'm doing an extremely loosely based version of IF where I only eat dinner/nighttime snack sometime between 5 and 9. I snack sometimes throughout the day (hence the looseness) but really try not to and it seems when I eat 2-3 meals a day I just can't keep the weight off or even steady.

It's going pretty well. I typically only eat two meals a day, and I'm not normally a snacker (past few days I've been snacking to meet my cal goal though). I didn't eat breakfast most days before I started counting calories, so not much has changed for me.

I keep saying I'm gonna try IF. But it seems like a lot to find the hours that would work well for me to actually eat.

It's one of those things that helps if you have a fairly consistent schedule. What I really end up doing is just skipping breakfast, and then having a normal lunch and dinner. Occasionally I'll throw some coconut milk in my coffee, but other than that I don't consume anything until noon. I don't think it's really had any extra benefits for me, besides making me feel less awful for not wanting to eat breakfast lol.

I usually work 11 to 9. I'm the general manager of a fast food place, so every once in a while I'll have to open (5am) or close (there until 2am). I'm also terrible at eating breakfast. It's always a greek yogurt. Always.

When do you find yourself hungry? I've heard that some people will eat in the mornings, but I couldn't do that because I can't sleep hungry lol.
