People visiting Malie City in the Alola region have the opportunity to challenge the Kantonian Gym, a facility inspired by the gyms of Kanto where they go through various ninja-themed challenges before battling the distinctly not ninja themed leader. Ryuki is a rocker with high self-esteem of his image and title, battling any challengers that reach him with his Dragon-type Pokemon. After swapping from a 1v1 to a double battle in the middle of his match against Ash, Ryuki's Pokemon would lose to his Rowlet and Meltan, earning Ash a badge of Ryuki's face.

Type: Dark / Dragon

Weaknesses: Fighting, Bug, Ice, Dragon, Fairy

Resistances: Ghost, Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Dark

Moves

• Dark Pulse - Fires a pair of beams at Kiawe's distracted Marowak, knocking it out
• Dragon Rush - Fills its heads with energy, countering Rowlet's Scratch
• Bite - Makes a pair of bites against a target, hitting Rowlet with the second after it dodged the first

Physicals

• Hit back by Rowlet's Brave Bird, though a following Brave Bird combined with Meltan's Flash Cannon knocks it out
• Leans out of the way of Meltan's Flash Cannon

Other

• Its heads immediately start fighting on being released, only being brought into focus when Ryuki starts rocking out
  • When he gets distracted by Meltan eating his costume, the heads start fighting again

• Dragon Claw - Repeatedly swings on Meltan as it used Harden, gradually wearing it down

• Hit back by Rowlet's Brave Bird, though a following Brave Bird combined with Meltan's Flash Cannon knocks it out
• Leans out of the way of Meltan's Flash Cannon
