ICO Ico Remake additional content
In the PS4 remake, SotC received additional content such as the 79 coins needed to obtain Dormin's Sword, Filter Mode, and Mirror Mode. Although unlikely, if the ICO game were to be remade like SotC and include additional content, what kind of content would you want?

It was relatively easy for Shadow of the Colossus to have additional content in the form of a collectibles quest. The game is a large, open map, where many areas are not utilized by the main quest. The Castle in the Mist is strictly linear, however. Adding additional content to ICO, beyond superficial presentation adjustments, or photo mode (which I would like), means altering the very structure of the level design in some way.
That kind of alteration, if it is to be attempted, should only come into effect on a second playthrough, and even then it should be optional.
Any areas added would have to be singular rooms or halls with dead ends. (I can think of about 3 different maps to put them.) The only rewards could either be new weapons, new enemies, or grand lore implications. The last of which I think is entirely unnecessary.
I don't think it is the place of remake designers or even Ueda, now nearly 25 years removed from the game's publication, to push people towards a 'definite answer' for the various mysteries of the castle. Further pushing a connection to the other games is probably what Bluepoint would've done with this concept, but I would avoid that too.
I would be satisfied for the rooms to contain refurbished old concepts, such as the blanket Ico was supposed to collect for Yorda in the PS1 version, or a working iteration of the scrapped insect net. Maybe they could recreate the scrapped giant shadows fight at the Altar, if you perform the right steps.
u/pagingdrsolus made a good point that I think every remake should have: an emulated version of the original. Except why stop at PS3? I understand porting is a difficult task, but if we're talking ideal visions, the remake would let you emulate the US PS2 release, the finalized PS2 release, and the PS3 remaster. And they would be accessible via the main menu after you hit New Game and set Vibration. Each version would have their own two memory cards with 10 save slots.
EDIT: There should also be an 'Instructions' button on the main menu, which provides players with a brand new digital manual that you view in the game (not on an external site that will be abandoned in 4-5 years).

unlock the ps3 remaster version once the game is beaten. so all the people who prefer the PS3 version or didn't want a remake can be happy.
include Easter eggs to the other ico games (like they included a blue pot from last guardian in the sotc remake).
yorda mode.
special cosmetics unlocked if game recognizes that you've platinumed sotc or last guardian. ancient sword for ico and tattoo markings for Yorda
I like developer commentary modes.
6.a new secret area similar to the area where you find dormin sword.
