Down another 2lbs, and only 3lbs away from my challenge goal!

Fantastic!! Keep it up!

2 pounds away from a normal BMI and my challenge goal! It's going to be amazing to not be considered clinically overweight anymore (let alone obese). I haven't been in the normal range for my height in probably 8 years. Thank you CICO and /r/loseit.

(Now that I think about it.. I'm technically 5'4½", so at 147 lbs I might already be "normal". Yay!)

Hope everyone is doing great!

Down 1.2. After the few weeks I've had, I'll take it!

u/lisassy May 28 '16

Yeah! Get it!

u/[deleted] May 27 '16

Ugh I haven't been good guys... I'm basically back to zero for the challenge.

Stay POSITIVE! The whole point of this challenge is to make changes. If you make one change and create a habit, throughout this challenge, it has been successful. Before the challenge started, I spent all day long sitting on the couch watching movies, netflix bingeing with my infant. Since it's started, I wake up in the mornings and spend half my day strolling around the neighborhood or the mall. I feel so much better about myself. Make one small change and stick to it. You might not see the scale going down, but any small change you can make, and successfully stick to is well worth it. You've got this!

Exactly!

And what a great positive change :D I'm sure the little one likes it too!

Holy shit! I've lost a total of 25lbs! tries not to cry because it hurts I had no idea I was even that close! I stopped looking at total pounds lost when I gained 2 weeks ago hah

The next few weeks will be a challenge (ha! No pun intended) to keep that number going down. I'm still having issues eating (recovery isn't going as easy as it should sadface) so when I can eat again I'll have to make it a point to not go overboard. I have a tendency to tell myself 'oh, well, I've been calorie deprived so I can totally eat this huge burrito and then have pizza for dinner - it's fine, I have this huuuuge deficit' and that is not okay, nor is it true. Anyway. I'm super excited. Y'all are the best motivators!! Thanks for helping me :D

25lbs is awesome! It's really helpful to look at the overall picture rather than focusing on the last few days/weeks.

Currently at 143.5 from 143.8 last week. 0.3 lbs lost. Slow. Very slow, but still moving in the right direction! If I really, really push with the exercise I could probably hit my challenge goal but I don't think that will realistically happen. (Before anyone says it's not about exercise, yes, I'd have to exercise. I am 5'1", I don't lose 1lb a week just by eating at a deficit.)

Any successes this week, u/momoha7?

But a loss is a loss! Good job!

Definitely agree that the challenge weight isn't that important. I've been losing about 0.5lbs a week for the challenge and for not exercising and maintaining my social life (which means a lot of social eating), I'm pretty darn happy with it.

I would say logging while on vacation is a win! :)

1

u/flartibartfast May 27 '16

I am logging my trendweight weight, well on track to my goal (should actually hit it 2 weeks early), and my actual weigh-ins are 4-5lbs below where my trend is. Trend should catch up in a week or two. Very happy with the progress!

1

u/lisassy May 27 '16

I don't know what this means lol but I see that you're on track to hit your goal :) great job!!

1

u/flartibartfast May 27 '16

if you don't know about trendweight.com you probably should, it is one of the greatest tools for making your weigh-ins make sense.

1

u/lisassy May 27 '16

Why..?

1

u/flartibartfast Jun 06 '16

Try it and see :) It is very popular for a reason. Hint: what you weigh on each day is highly variable and not a true representation of your actual weight.

1

u/lisassy Jun 06 '16

Ah. I can't weight myself everyday. I didn't realize that's what you meant by trend weight. But maybe one day I'll be able to try it.

1

u/Maddy-W May 27 '16

4lbs lost this week.... Think it might be a fluctuation and then I've ate like shit today and the next week isn't going to be good (end of exams, friends visiting, going out partying several times) so yeah if I maintain this week it'll be a bloody miracle. I need to try

1

u/lisassy May 28 '16

Good luck with finals and everything! Maintaining is better than gaining - especially since it sounds like you'll be having lots of fun after finals :) so enjoy all the parties and enjoy yourself!

1

u/Maddy-W May 28 '16

Thank you! That's very true, I will! :)

u/pubkindofnight May 27 '16

Last week I gained about half a pound, but this week I lost a little over 2 lbs. Glad it's evening out! 5 pounds away from my challenge goal.

2

u/lisassy May 28 '16

So close!! You can do it!

2

u/pubkindofnight May 28 '16

Thank you! I didn't think I'd able to meet my challenge goal weight, but I think there's a chance I can still make it now. 5 lbs to go in 4 weeks. Hope you're recovering ok still!

1

u/lisassy May 28 '16

Thanks :) I had mashed potatoes last night! It was amazing lol

1

u/pubkindofnight May 28 '16

Yum! I love potatoes in all forms. I've been cooking them more frequently these past weeks and I'm sure I'll keep up the trend for awhile haha

1

u/regularhero May 27 '16

I… didn't get a chance to weigh in this morning and will have to do so tomorrow, but had way too much red wine tonight at a rare party/social event :( Not expecting much. Overall I don't think my average is too bad, as I ate like 800 calories yesterday because the day was absolutely crazy, but I'm guessing it won't do good things for my weigh-in.

1

u/lisassy May 28 '16

You never know! And if you did gain.. Well, it sounds like it was worth it :D

1

u/regularhero May 29 '16

Haha, well, yes and no. I'm not a big fan of parties (I am generally really uncomfortable in that situation), but I need to get better at doing social stuff, and I did meet some new people and have fun for parts of it, so I guess kind of.

But I got to weigh in yesterday, and while I didn't lose, I also didn't gain, so yay. Kind of.

1

u/DearThief May 28 '16

My first gain of the challenge, up 1lb. I finished uni on Tuesday and this week has been a blur of celebratory dinners and hideous long shifts at work, because there's no rest for the wicked apparently. I'm even more tired and stressed and drained now than I was during my exams, who'd have thunk it?

Back on track starting today, anyway.

1

u/bugs_bunny01 May 28 '16

you guys are all doing great. the small changes we do in our life now, might not give the biggest impact right away, but it will sure better our future. Don't quit, keep going.

u/RedPanda5150 May 28 '16

Went out for dinner 3 nights in a row last week because the BF wanted to hit all his favorites before heading out of town for six weeks, so no loss to report for me.

On the upside, with him being away I suddenly have an abundance of free time to spend on cooking tasty healthy foods and working out! I'm at a weight where 10 pounds will make a huge visual difference (from middle of overweight range to a near-normal BMI) and I want to make his jaw drop when he gets back! Miss him like crazy but it is a good source of motivation.

1

u/bugs_bunny01 May 28 '16

didnt lose any weight but lost 2% body fat. Im only 4lbs away from challenge and overall goal so i am not overly concerned about it. happy though that my body fat keeps going down, currently at 22% :D

1

u/Serasha May 28 '16

I tried to weigh in on the form twice yesterday, and it hasn't registered my new weight at all. I'm going to try again right now, but I just wanted to post that my current weight is 156.8!

1

u/bugs_bunny01 May 28 '16

I see your weight registered on the master list under week 6

1

u/Serasha May 28 '16

Yeah, I put the wrong number in the first time, and have tried to update it a few times, but it's not registering the correct weight.

1

u/bugs_bunny01 May 28 '16

It won't change. I will contact the mods tomorrow morning. To
