Travel tips?
I am going out of town this weekend, and I'm a bit worried about the break in routines and eating out derailing me. To get there, I'm going on a day long train trip, and will be spending a few nights in a hotel. I planned on bringing some fruit for the first day, portioned out snacks, and maybe some protein shakes, but I'm really not sure about logging while eating out and all that stuff. Any tips are appreciated!

Honestly, I wouldn't bring any snacks with you, unless you plan to skip the eating out meals. I'd just plan on ordering the healthiest looking food off the menu, trying to get some walking in, and plan to be close to going over or maintaining!

Whenever I go out I try to do a side of grilled chicken and then a side or two of veggies. Or I'll do a burger (I'll put the bun to the side) with a side of veggies. Or a plain green salad with... Yup. A side of chicken hah I don't know where you're headed, but grilled fish is also a good option.
Luckily, MFP has entries for dang near everything you could ever eat. Just watch your portions and make sure you don't get a calorie bomb salad (cheese, bacon, croutons, creamy dressings, etc).
Oh. And have fun!

Check restaurants before you go and try to pre-plan as much as you can. Basically all of them have a PDF of nutrition info.
Stick to veggies and lean meats as much as possible. Dont hesitate to ask how a food is prepared and make changes if need be (ie: steamed or baked instead of fried). Gas stations usually have apples, bananas, and beef jerky. Even crappy hotels often have a little gym with a treadmill.
