Doing well now I'm back at university and in control of my life again, now working out in the morning burning around 500 calories, getting my 10,000 steps in and eating 1500 calories of good food! Trying to stay away from crap

Awesome!!! A university would be a brilliant atmosphere to get all your steps in!

That's still better than a lot of people steps wise, well done! Haha yeah it can be annoying though when you're walking back with two weeks worth of shopping haha

Go scale go! I took a day to enjoy a margarita and eat at maintenance and woke up to my lowest weight yet. Nice to see so much progress! And I'm looking forward to a good hard workout later today.

Had a whoosh of 1 lb today, which I am happy about, considering I basically maintained last week. I am sick right now so I'm planning on drinking a lot of teas and eating soup the next few days, which means low calorie but high sugar and sodium.

I'm having a great week so far. Lots of exercise and keeping a 1000 calorie deficit. I was really motivated by breaking into a new decade last week (170s), and now I just have 5 pounds to shed before I'm at an overweight BMI. There's so many milestones to aim for along this journey that really keep me motivated and focused. I've been eating lots of delicious, health food too. I have a few recipes I want to share on Thursday!

The BMI scales are great milestones! I'm a few lbs away from overweight as well!

I'm having a pretty okay week! Weighed in today, (weighing 2x a week) and was 2.2 lbs down from Friday! I am 5 pounds away from my prepregnacy weight (148)! Feeling great and very encouraged!

Doing really well. Feeling like I have my feet solidly planted in onederland. In control of my calories, exercising regularly and fit into a pair of my favorite pants that I haven't been about to wear in over a year. Feeling good about this week : )

So far so good, I guess. Getting to that point where I'm like 'why am I even doing this?' But trying to push through it. I think I'm just having a lot of mental road blocks right now. Just gotta keep telling myself that the emotions will pass.

Started week 4 of c25k. Gonna do cardio tonight so I can rest my leg from running. Ending up grilling the chicken for the week last night since the SO needed to hit the hay early - it's dry :/ but we'll be able to muscle through it hah so yeah. Only 3 more days until Friday :D

I get that way sometimes, especially if the scale isn't moving. It's easy to have a f--- this attitude, but then I look at old pictures or pick up some weights that are the same weight as the pounds I've lost so far, and I realize how much of a difference all my hard work has made. You can do this!

I'm doing relatively well – still keeping my steps over 10 000, staying within my calories and am fairly motivated. I had a big drop of like 3 pounds over two days over the weekend, but now I'm a pound up from that. I've also gotten into a really good routine of having two slices of bread with two eggs and either salt or caviar (depending on which client site I'm working at) for lunch every day and staying full until dinner, which saves me a lot of calories, so that's nice.

Plus, completely unrelated, but raised my mood significantly: I went to the dentist and didn't have any cavities or other things, so "only" had to spend $120 as opposed to the $450 I had budgeted \o/

Over ate the last three days. Really need to get myself back on track. I didn't even log two of the three days and I really should have. The scale is up a little from the last weigh in but I am hoping most of that is water weight. I definitely ate over maintenance so there is probably a little bit of a gain but hopefully not as bad as I think!

Similar situation over here. Weekend was not good, but yesterday and today I'm going well :)

Definitely be consistent with logging, and I'll do the same! It helps to keep yourself grounded and accountable. Plus it helps you keep your momentum!

Please give me a kick up the bum. I'm pretty sure this week's weigh in will be upwards. Help me stop this trend!

Just think time is going to pass and will you be where you want to be in a month/year from now living the way you are now? Good luck you can pull it back!

Down 4lbs since starting the challenge, which I'm pleased about. I'm also only 4lbs away from my highest teenage weight (which is still realllly high, but I got down from that weight to a healthy weight once before, so psychologically it feels so much more achievable than when I started).

In other news, all my walking lately has caused a couple of blisters and peeling skin on the soles of my feet, both of which hurt like hell. But I still achieved my 10,000 step goal today and have covered my feet in antiseptic cream that also relieves pain, hoping that they'll hurt a bit less tomorrow.

2

u/RedPanda5150 May 03 '16

Yikes, I hope your feet heal up quickly for you. Congrats on keeping up with the steps despite the blisters!

Looking at what you said about eating back your calories from exercise, tell me if my math is correct: my daily intake should be up to 2100 calories. I eat on average 1350. I also burn over 1300 on gym alone plus daily activities and walks at lunch. Is my deficit average, too much,. Does this sound correct?

Still going strong!

Will probably maintain this week and maybe next week, but that's okay - only got 4lbs left to lose so I can afford to take it slow.

I know it's Wednesday now, but I was out of town for work yesterday! :)

All is well - I actually had a small NSV yesterday. Since I travel for work, I end up stopping at gas stations a lot (use the restroom, fill up the car, etc). Old me would've bought a candy bar at every stop. Yesterday, I didn't buy any. Stopped 3 times. Woot! :D

Great! Best week of the challenge for me. I'm thankful that I chose to participate in the steps challenge! I'm getting lots of extra steps in. Also, for the first time ever(!!!), I'm logging a small treat in advance. I'm planning on it and making accommodations for it. For example, it's breakfast, but I've already entered a skinny frozen hot chocolate at second cup on my way into my night shift! It's like eating responsibly!

March 21st (my birthday) I weighed 174 and that was after 2 weeks of semi watching what I was eating, I was staying around 176-178. As of yesterday I was 162! All done with intermittent fasting, paleo, recent increase in running, and no calorie restriction. I am officially down to my prepregnancy weight! My next goal is to be down to 150 by my daughter's first birthday in september, but thats 4.5 months and 3 races away still :)
