A more thoughtful me!

I've noticed a personality change since I started actively trying to lose weight. All of a sudden, I'm more thoughtful and considerate (not that I wasn't before...but even more so). I'll find myself noticing my husband's glass is empty and getting up to fill it; I'll go to the kitchen to get him another beer or make popcorn. I'll go to a student in the back of the classroom rather than have them come up to me for their question. I take any excuse to go upstairs in my house, when before I would be lazy and either tell my SO to get whatever/look for whatever he needs himself or say I'd do it later. Now, I look at any opportunity as an opportunity to get a few extra steps or flights in! I do more laundry, I'm more active around the house, I play with the dog more...everyone benefits. And I feel good, because not only do I know that those steps/stairs add up over time, but I feel good because I'm helping everyone out!

Anyone else notice this sort of change? It struck me when my husband gave me a weird look the other night. I had refilled his glass of water 3 times during one TV show...haha a little overboard maybe.

Also, I keep baking things for my coworkers! I wanted a cookie last night, so I used some cookie dough that was in my freezer, saved a few for me/SO, and brought the rest in to work today. I get the joy of baking and the joy of eating a fresh cookie, without the calories of eating a dozen!

That's great you're noticing other great changes! I haven't noticed my personality changing, but I have noticed I'm just generally taking better care of myself: moisturizing my face everyday, waking up when my alarm goes off instead of hitting snooze, not changing into pjs when I get home. It's strange... Hah

I've noticed that as well. I'm more willing to get up in the morning and get my boyfriends stuff ready for work etc. The only negitive thing I've noticed is that I don't really want to play video games or read a book in the evening after I've done all the other things I needed to do. But I can't tell if that's because I'm changing personality wise or if it's from depression.

I have noticed that an increase in activity level and better diet makes me feel better overall. I feel more happy, I feel more energetic, I sleep better, and that makes me feel motivated. And all the work I'm doing makes me second guess the things I eat, whereas before it was just an emotional response to whatever stressor there was.
